7、n of BS5550 has been prepared under the direction of the Cinematography and Photography Standards Policy Committee. It is identical with ISO2404:1986 Cinematography Six-track magnetic sound records on70mm striped release prints Locations and dimensions, published by the International Organization fo
8、r Standardization (ISO). This Subsection of BS5550 supersedes BS5550-4.4.1:1980, which is withdrawn. In reviewing ISO2404:1979 (adopted as BS5550-4.4.1:1980), the UK anticipated and supported the US proposals to change magnetic stripe widths, as given in clause3. The UK requested that magnetic heads
9、 be more accurately aligned, and that, in clause4, “90 5” be changed to “90 3”. Other countries accepted this UK proposal, duly incorporated in this revision. Additional information. It should be noted that it is difficult to maintain the same distance from the film edge to the outer edge of the mag
10、netic stripes. Liquid stripe lacquer is applied to a moving film base, and the resulting sound track has a slightly wavy edge. This dimension (given as F at one edge of the film and G at the other edge of the film in ISO 2404:1979, and given as B at each edge of the film in this revision) has been c
