11、4-3-1“Specification for cellulosic papers for electrical purposes. Part 3: Specifications for individual materials. Sheet 1: General purpose electrical paper” published in 1979 by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It was prepared under the direction of the General Electrotechnical

12、 Engineering Standards Committee. Other Parts of BS 5626 are given under “Cross-references” in this national foreword. It is the intention that BS 5626 will ultimately replace BS 698:1956 “Papers for electrical purposes” and BS 4295:1968 “Capacitor tissue paper”. A decision on withdrawal of those st

13、andards will be taken at an appropriate stage in the publication, as Part 3 or BS 5626, of the separate specification Sections for the individual materials. Terminology and conventions. The text of the international standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without

14、 deviation. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is especially drawn to the following. In the Introduction, the words “This standard is one of a series which deals with” should be read as “BS 5626 deals with” similarly, “The serie

15、s consists of three parts” should be read as “BS 5626 has the three following Parts”. In clause 1 “Scope”, the words “This sheet” should be read as “This Section or BS 5626”. NOTEIn “Table 1 of IEC Publication 554-1”, general heading to columns 6 and 7, and the asterisked footnote, “4m/Pa.s” should

21、ed in Table I of IEC Publication 554-1. 2 Requirements 2.1 For sampling procedures, see ISO Standard186:Paper and board sampling for testing. 2.2 The paper shall comply with the general requirements published in Part 1 (IECPublication554-1). 2.3 When tested by the methods stipulated, the paper shall
