14、r 6 Figure 5 Roller lever arm 7BS6520:1984 BSI 10-1999 3 This European Standard has been prepared by the CENELEC Technical Committee TC17X. 1 Scope This standard applies to certain position switches with automatic return actuator for industrial use, the standardized dimensions of which and the chara
15、cteristics necessary for their application are given below. A larger size(42,5 80) is standardized in EN50041. Electrical characteristics shall conform to those of IEC Publication337 Control switches. This standard includes the four following types: roller lever (form A), rounded plunger (form B), p
16、lunger with roller (form C), roller lever arm (form E). The devices are fitted with either snap action designated (1) in clause3, or slow make and break, designated(2) in clause3, mechanisms. 2 Dimensions The dimensions shown in Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4 and Figure 5 are applicable to s
17、witches in a new condition. The operating point corresponds to the opening of the break-contact element. The operating point can drift during the life of the switch. The manufacturer shall specify the direction of the drift. The differential travel (difference between the operating and reset points)
18、 of a position switch with snap action mechanism shall be stated by the manufacturer; it is shown as H in Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4 and Figure 5, and differs dependent upon the type of actuator. Apart from the dimensions indicated, the design of these devices is not restricted. Dimensions are giv

The terminal
22、 marking shall be in accordance with European Standard EN50013. 5 Terminal for protective conductor Position switches with metal enclosures shall have a terminal for the protective conductor; this terminal shall be mounted inside the enclosure in the immediate vicinity of the cable entry and marked
23、as appropriate. 6 Degree of protection The minimum degree of protection required shall conform to IP65, tested in accordance with IEC-Publication529 or144 when this latter is revised.
