The number of tests to be carried out is given inTable 4. After flattening samples shall be free from cracks.
、Discontinuous surface ruptures shall be regarded as cracks if their total length exceeds80% of the length of the deformed edge. 10 Drift test Tubes shall be tested in accordance with EN2002-9. 42、SI 12-1999 12 Tube leakage test Unless otherwise agreed between the manufacturer and the purchaser and stated on the order or inspection schedule tubes shall be examined by one of the following methods, at the discretion of the manufacturer. 12.1 Method 1: Pressure test All tubes shall be subjected
、to a pressure test for leakage detection in accordance with EN2002-17. When under test, tubes shall not show any leakage, cracks, blisters or other defect. 12.2 Method 2: Eddy current test All tubes shall be subjected to an Eddy current test for leakage detection in accordance with EN2002-20. Tubes
、shall be tested along their entire length. 13 Coarse grain zones Tubes shall be macrographically examined. The presence of zones of coarse grain shall be cause for rejection. The “capability clause” may be applied to this requirement. 14 Grain size The grain size shall be determined by micrographic
、examination in accordance with EN2002-8. The grain size shall be measured on a longitudinal section after polishing and etching. The choice of the etching agent to show the structure shall be at the discretion of the manufacturer. The grain size shall meet the requirement of the relevant material st
、andard or inspection schedule. The “capability clause” may be applied to this requirement. 15 Internal cleanliness inspection Tubes shall be free from grease or oil except that used for corrosion protection. No foreign matter shall be visible on a clean cloth passed through any tube. The “capability
、 clause” may be applied to this requirement. 16 Special tests Special tests and inspections may be required by the purchaser (e.g.internal stress, electrical conductivity, intergranular corrosion, .). In such cases, after agreement between purchaser and manufacturer, nature of test, methods, number
、and acceptance standards shall be specified on the order or in the inspection schedule. 17 Marking Marking shall be in accordance with EN 2070-1. If special tests in accordance with clause 16 are required the marking shall be defined and shall reflect these extra requirements. The frequency of exami
、nation adopted by the manufacturer shall be sufficient to permit him to certify compliance with the requirements. 17.1 Unless otherwise agreed between manufacturer and purchaser and specified on the order or in the inspection schedule the position of the marking of tubes with a diameter equal or greater than6mm shall be in accordance withTable 3. 17.2 For tubes with a diameter less than6mm the marking shall be on a durable label attached to each bundle of products.
