28、erage. 3.8 definition document document specifying all the requirements for finished parts 4 Quality assurance 4.1 Qualification EN 9133 Qualification, inspections and tests shall be carried out on five seals of each size, except for opposed indication specified in Table 1. The test programme may po
29、ssibly be reduced. Any such decision shall be based on the results obtained on similar types of seals provided that the design and manufacturing conditions are identical. 4.2 Acceptance 4.2.1 Purpose The purpose of acceptance inspections and tests is to check, as simply as possible, by a method repr
30、esentative of actual use conditions, that the seals constituting the production batch satisfy the requirements of this standard. EN 4054:2004 (E) 6 4.2.2 Conditions Acceptance inspections and tests are specified in Table 1. They shall be carried out on each production batch. Table 1 specifies the te
31、st method and the sampling plan applicable to each test. Seals from the production batch to be tested shall be selected by simple random sampling. Each seal may be submitted to several tests. The seals to be subjected to destructive tests may be those on which non-destructive tests have been carried
32、 out. 4.2.3 Responsibility Acceptance inspections and tests shall be carried out by the manufacturer, or under his responsibility. 4.2.4 Inspection and test report The manufacturer must ensure conformity of products according to the results obtained in relation to the requirements and carry out an i
33、nspections and test report giving the observed values. This report shall be provided to the purchaser. 5 Requirements See Table 1. Other sampling plans specified in ISO 2859-1 may be used (double or multiple sampling), but these shall be chosen in such a way as to ensure an equ

44、al Packaging is intended to protect seals during storage. Seals shall be packed individually in watertight, opaque cases and shall be water vapour-, ozone-, oil- and greaseproof. This packaging shall be resistant enough to prevent the seals against any damage occurring in the course of handling and
45、transportation. 6.2 Individual package 6.2.1 Material The following materials shall be used: opaque polyethylene coated kraft paper; laminate consisting of aluminium, paper and polyethylene; opaque polyethylene film. The use of polyvinyl chloride film (PVC film) is not permissible. Transparent or tr
46、anslucent materials shall not be used. 6.2.2 Dimensions Depending on the size of the seals, use a large enough individual package without this, however, being larger than necessary. 6.3 Collective packaging Items, in their individual package, may be combined in collective packages. This package shal
47、l: be resistant enough so that the items: cannot be damaged in the course of handling or transportation, be protected against any damage due to exposure to environmental effects or any other normal hazard; bear a label legible from outside; contain seals with the same definition. 7 Marking 7.1 Indiv
48、idual package Each individual packet shall be legibly marked with not less than the following information: manufacturers identification; identity according to the product standard; batch number; quarter and year of vulcanization of the rubber part in bilingual (e.g. 3Q93 / 3T93); UNLIMITED SHELF LIF
49、E; mark (manufacturers monogram) or inspection stamp guaranteeing the products quality (packaging included).
