20、30:2001(E) 4 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesamethodformeasuringthewaterrejectionperformanceoflouvres subjecttosimulatedrainandwindpressures,bothwithandwithoutairflowthroughthelouvreunder test.Forthepurposeoftestsinthisstandard,a1000mm 1000mmsectionofweatherlouvreorthe nearestpossiblebladeincrem
21、entisconsidered. Weatherlouvresaredesignedtorestrictthepassageofwaterduringrainfallwhileallowingthe passageofairintoorfromanairdistributionsystemorpartofabuilding.Theyareusedinawide rangeofapplications,wheretheremaybedifferencesinwindspeedanddirection,levelsoflocal turbulence,rateanddropletsize,dist
22、ributionofrainfallandsurfacewaterflowfromthesurrounding structure.Itisimpracticaltoconsiderastandardtestproceduresimulatingthewholerangeoflikely conditions,butthisstandardprovidesforheavyrainfalldirectedontothelouvresurface,with simulatedwindpressures.Thisprovidesacommonbasisonwhichtocomparethewater
