33、estrengthiscalculated.EN1328641:2003(E) 6 5Apparatus Compressiontestingmachine Theprecisionofthemachineandtheloadindicationshallbecapableofloadingandmeasurementtoanaccuracy of 1%. NOTE1 Testspecimensofhydraulicallyboundmixturescanbeeithercylindricalorcubical,withnominaldimensionsas smallas50mm(diame

34、ter)andaslargeas300mm(height),andwithultimatecompressivestrengthsvaryingfrom0,5N/mm 2 tonormalconcretestrengths.MachinescomplyingwithEN123904canbesuitableforstrongerspecimens. ThemachineshallhavetwosteelloadingplatenswithfaceshavingaRockwellhardnessofatleast55HRCfora depthofapproximately5mm.Theloadi

35、ngplatensshallbeatleastaslargeas,andpreferablylargerthan,the facesofthespecimentowhichtheloadisapplied.Thesurfaceflatnessoftheplatensandthesurfacesbywhich theyaresupportedshallbe0,03mmorbetter. NOTE2 Auxiliaryplatenshavingaminimumthicknessof25mmandfulfillingthesamerequirementsastheoriginalplatens ca

36、nbeused. Theupperplatenshallhaveasphericalseatingofdimensionsuchthatthedeformationoftheplatenundernormal loadingdoesnotexceedthetoleranceofflatness.Thecombinationoftheupperplatenandsphericalseatingshall bedesignedtopermiteasyalignmentoftheplatentothespecimenbuttobecomeimmobileastheforceonthe specime

37、nincreases.Theseatingshallhaveitscentreatthesurfaceoftheplaten,oratapointwhosedistance fromtheplatensislessthan1mm.Thediameteroftheseatingshallnotexceed150mm. Provisionshallbemadeforpositivelocationofspecimensatthecentreofthelowerplatens;visualalignmentshall notbeused. 6 Testspecimen Manufactureofth

38、etestspecimen ThemanufactureofthespecimenshallbeinaccordancewithprEN1 328650,prEN1328651,prEN1328652or prEN1328653.Thetypeofcompactionandcuringofthespecimenshallbestatedinthetestreport. 7 Testprocedure 7.1Dimensions Thedimensionsofthespecimenshallbemeasuredwithanaccuracyof0,5%. 7.2Mass Thespecimensh

39、allbeweighedtoanaccuracyof 0,25%andcomparedtothemassatthetimeofmanufacture. Thechangeinmassshallberecorded. NOTE Ifthechangeinmassisgreaterthan2%,theresultingcompressivestrengthcanbereviewedsinceitcouldbe unrepresentativeofthetestedmixture. 7.3 Adjustmentofthetestspecimen Thetopandbottomfacesofthete

40、stspecimenshallhaveanoutofparallelismtolerancenotexceeding2mmin 100 mm.Specimensfailingthisrequirementshalleitherbediscardedorrectifiedbygrindingorcappingin accordancewithannexAofEN123903:2001 .EN1328641:2003(E) 7 7.4 Defectivespecimens Damagedspecimensshallnotbetested. 7.5 Specimenpositioning Exces

41、smoistureshallbewipedfromthesurfaceofthespecimenbeforeplacinginthetestmachine. Alltestingmachinebearingsurfacesshallbewipedcleanandanyloosegritorextraneousmaterialremovedfrom thesurfacesofthespecimenthatwillbeincontactwiththeplatensorauxiliaryplatensifused. Nopackingshallbeusedbetweenthespecimenandt

42、heplatensorauxiliaryplatens. Cubespecimensshallbecompressedperpendicularlytoorinthedirectionofcastingandthedirectionrecorded. Thespecimenshallbecentredonthelowerplatenorauxiliaryplatentoanaccuracyof1%ofthedesignatedsize ofthecubeordiameterofcylindricalspecimens. Atthemomentofcontactbetweenthespecime

43、nandtheupperplaten,thesphericalseatingshallbeadjustedto achieveuniformcontactbetweenthespecimenandupperplaten. 7.6Loading Theloadshallbeappliedinacontinuousanduniformmannerwithoutshocksothatruptureoccurswithin30sto 60sofcommencementofloading. Whenusingmanuallycontrolledtestingmachinesandasspecimenruptureisapproached,anytendencyforthe selectedrateofloadingtodecreaseshallbecorrectedbyappropriateadjustmentofthecontrols.
