24、andtheuppermostpartofthetestpiece 4Apparatus 4.1General Theapparatusisadrophammer(e.g.BAMfallhammer),comprisingacaststeelblockwithbase,amainanviland anintermediateanvil,alocatingplate,acolumn,guides,andadropweightwithareleasemechanismanda strikinghead. 4.2 Drophammer Asteelanvilisscrewedontothesteel

25、blockandcastbase.Thesteelusedfortheintermediateanvilandthemain anvilisofthesametypeasforthestrikingheadofthedropweight(see4.3).Thesupportontowhichthecolumnis fixed(madefromaseamlessdrawnsteeltube)isboltedtothebackofthesteelblock. Thetwoguideswhicharefixedtothecolumnbymeansofthreecrosspiecesarefittedwithatoothedrack,tolimit thereboundofthedropweight,andamoveablegraduatedscaleforadjustingthedropheight.Theguidesshallbe vertical. Thedropheightshallbe(50

27、05)mm.Thedropweightreleasemechanismisadjustablebetweentheguidesand isclampedtothembytheoperationofalevermechanism.EN136304:2002(E) 5 Theapparatusshallbefirmlysecuredtoaconcreteblock,withminimumdimensionsof0,6m 0,6m 0,6m,by meansoffouranchoringbolts. 4.3 Dropweight Thedropweighthasamassof(20002)gandi

28、sprovidedwithtwolocatinggroovestoholditbetweentheguides asitdrops.Asuspensionspigot,aremovablecylindricalstrikingheadandareboundcatcharescrewedontothe dropweight. NOTE FigureC.3showsthedesignofthedropweightoftheBAMfallhammer. Theremovablestrikingheadismadefromhardenedsteelconformingtotype90MnCrV8inE

29、NISO4957witha polishedsurfaceandadiameterof25mm. Thereleasemechanismshallbecontrolledremotely. 5 Testpieces Selecteightpiecesofdetonatingcordofsufficientlengthtocarryoutthetest.Sealtheendsbyasuitablemeans, e.g.withtape,caporglue.Thelengthofeachtestpieceshallbesuchthatthereisalengthofatleast30mmat th

30、ecentreofthetestpiece,notaffectedbythemeansofthesealing,whichistobestruckbythestrikingheadof thedropweight. 6Procedure Fixthetestpieceontotheintermediateanvil,sothatitiscentredontheanvil,bysuitablemeanswhichdoesnot interferewiththeareaofthetestpiecetobestruckbythestrikinghead.Fixtheintermediateanvil

31、bymeansofthe locatingplate,asshowninFigureC.2. Suspendthedropweightfromthereleasemechanismatdropheightof(5005)mm.Alignthetestpiecesothat thecentreofthestrikingheadwillhitthecentreofthetestpiece.Releasethedropweightandrecordwhetheran explosionoradeflagrationoccurs. Repeattheprocedureafurtherseventime

32、s,usinganewtestpieceeachtime,unlessanexplosionora deflagrationoccurs.Cleantheintermediateanvilaftereachtest. Ifanexplosionoccursandeitherthestrikingheadortheintermediateanvilaredamaged,theyshallbereplaced beforetestingthenexttestpiece. 7 Testreport ThetestreportshallconformENISO/IEC17025.Inaddition,
