The following dates were fixed: latest date by which the EN has to be implemented at national level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2003-06-01 latest date by which the national standards conflictin

The series consists of three parts: Part 1: Definitions and general requirement

19、s (IEC 60684-1); Part 2: Methods of test (IEC 60684-2); Part 3: Specifications for individual types of sleeving (IEC 60684-3). This standard gives four of the sheets comprising Part 3 as follows: Sheet 240: Heat-shrinkable PTFE sleeving, low shrink ratio, thick wall Sheet 241: Heat-shrinkable PTFE s

20、leeving, low shrink ratio, medium wall Sheet 242: Heat-shrinkable PTFE sleeving, low shrink ratio, thin wall Sheet 243: Heat-shrinkable PTFE sleeving, high shrink ratio. 21、3: Heat-shrinkable PTFE sleeving 1 Scope These sheets of IEC 60684-3 give the requirements for heat-shrinkable (low and high shrink ratio) polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) sleeving. It is normally available in expanded internal diameter sizes up to 12 mm in three wall thickness ranges as supplied in th

22、e low shrink ratio (sheets 240, 241 and 242) and up to 100 mm in one wall thickness range as supplied in the high shrink ratio (sheet 243). It is normally available in transparent milk white to light tan in colour and the minimum recovery temperature is 350 C. The procedures described in IEC 60216-1

23、 for evaluation of thermal endurance are not readily applicable to PTFE: however, experience of product performance indicates that this sleeving may be suitable for inclusion in systems for operation at temperatures up to 250 C. Sizes other than those specifically listed in this standard may be avai

24、lable as custom items. The items shall be considered to comply with this standard if they comply with the property requirements listed in tables 3 and 4. Materials which conform to this specification meet established levels of performance. However, the selection of a material by a user for a specifi

25、c application should be based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and not based on this specification alone. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. 29、general requirements given in IEC 60684-1, the sleeving shall comply with the requirements of tables 1, 2, 3 and 4. 6 Sleeving conformance Conformance with the requirements of this specification shall normally be based on the results from size 3,0/2,0 mm for sheets 240, 241 and 242 and size 45/12 mm
