23、lies for general purpose applications. These power supplies carry out an a.c. to d.c. conversion or a d.c. to d.c. conversion. Appropriate provisions for safety will be found in the relevant product standards. As far as input characteristics are concerned, this standard applies to all d.c. or a.c. s
24、ource voltages with a rated value of up to 600 V. As far as output characteristics are concerned, this standard applies only to the supplies of d.c. voltages of less than 200 V with a power limited to 2,5 kW; the latter power can be extended to 30 kW by taking care of the appropriate test methods. 25、he object of this part of IEC 61204 is to set down the requirements for the performance of low-voltage power supply devices of assessed functionality intended for serial production. If other performance requirements or quality assurance have been agreed by a contract, the latter prevails. This part
26、of IEC 61204 is intended as a guidance for the improvement of the performance of large series. For performance and quality conformance inspection, the numbering of the clauses and subclauses of this part of IEC 61204 refer, unless stated otherwise, to IEC 61204. 2 Normative references The following

32、tandards 3 Procedure and classification The requirements of this standard apply to either the manufacturers standard power supplies meeting the requirements of the detail specifications, or to specific, custom-made power supplies. The procedure includes the following three provisions: the manufactur
33、ers quality control, methods and manufacturing procedures, shall be certified to the ISO 9000 series or equivalent; initial product compliance with the performance requirements; periodic quality conformance assessment. This standard covers the following types of power supplies: type A: modules for p
34、rinted circuits; type B: power supplies up to 250 W excluding modules for printed circuits; type C: power supplies greater than 250 W and up to 1 kW; type D: power supplies greater than 1 kW. 4 Initial product compliance and tests The tests are specified in clause 6. All the tests shall be mandatory
35、 if the manufacturer/(user) confirms/(specifies) the presence of the feature or parameter for each model family of the power supply. The manufacturer has to keep the records of the test results for 10 years after delivery of the last unit. The recommended number of specimens for the manufacturers st
36、andard power supplies depends on the type: type A: 10 specimens type B: 5 specimens type C: 3 specimens type D: 2 specimens For custom-made power supplies, the number of specimens should be discussed in the particular contract between the manufacturer/user. 37、EC 5 Periodic quality conformance assessment For quality conformance assessment, the periodic conformance inspection for the power supply devices described in the detail specification includes the tests described in 5.1 and 5.2 below. 5.1 Batch tests These tests are conducted by the manufacturer dur
38、ing normal production in order to make sure that the device produced meets the conditions defined in the production specifications. Normal production tests are those tests carried out by the manufacturer on all units to verify the power supply functionality. If the tests of the normal production tes
39、ting are not covered in clause 7, they are to be carried out in addition. The manufacturer has to keep the records of the test results for 10 years. 5.2 Periodic tests The tests identified in clause 8 shall be conducted on the indicated number of specimens, selected from every lot of 2 000 units. Wh
40、en the size of the mass production is so low that the test cycle is economically not justified then the number of specimens under 6.1 can be reduced to the numbers stated in 6.2. If production of a particular unit is discontinued for more than 18 months, and if manufacture is resumed, the type test
41、shall be performed again if fundamental design changes occurred or, if not, shall be limited to the periodic quality conformance assessment. If the manufacturer uses other methods than the AQL for batch tests and periodic inspection, they must be clearly documented and the limits stated. For the tes
42、ting of electrical characteristics (test subgroup 3 in the following tables) care shall be taken to use the same test set-up configuration, for both the periodic and the initial product tests.
