The wanted signal level shall first be set at 70 dB (fW), with a modulation frequency of 1 kHz and a deviation of Y kHz (see below). For equipment intended for us

For equipment intended for use in ITU Regions 2 and 3, X is 400 kHz (two 200 kHz channels from the wanted channel) and Y is 75 kHz. NOTEThe ITU regions are defined in the ITU Radio Regulations. Region 1
46、 includes Europe, Africa and areas bordering the Mediterranean Sea, Region 2 includes the Americas and Region 3 includes Asia and Australasia. However, broadcasting administrations in some countries may adopt systems which are not those generally used in that region. After tuning the equipment and n

The frequency difference between the wanted and unwanted signals shall be X kHz (see above) and the unwanted signal shall be modulated at 1kHz with Y kHz (see above) deviation. The level of the unwa

NOTEAttention is drawn to ITU-R BS 412-7, BS 450-2, BS 641 and BS 704, accepted unanimously by the member administrations. Although the measurement conditions specified in this standard vary with ITU regions,
