31、ioned in 5.2. The samples shall be terminated onto single mode fibres as per IEC 60793-1-1, Type B1.1, in either coated fibres (primary and secondary) or reinforced cable format. Each test defines the number of samples to be evaluated. The attenuation devices used for each test are intended to be pr
32、eviously unstressed new samples but may be selected from previously used samples if so desired. All tests are to be carried out to validate performance over required operating wavelength range. As a result, single or multiple spectral bands may be chosen for the qualification and in some circumstanc
33、es, differing target specifications may be assigned to each spectral band. Table 1 is intended to provide guidance on the wavelength range of the various spectral bands. It is not intended for specification. Values of operation wavelength used in performance verification shall be specified between t

46、the test the attenuation value shall be measured at a maximum interval of 1 h. During the test the minimum attenuation limits of test No. 1 shall be met. During the test the return loss limits of test No. 5 shall be met. Temperature: 25 C. Exposure duration: 96 h. Preconditioning procedure: standard

Recovery procedure: allow specimen to return to 20 C in period not exceeding 2 h. 8 High temperature endurance (Dry heat) IEC 61300-2-18 Before the test the attenuation shall be set at the maximum attenuation value. During the test the attenuation value shall be measu
48、red at maximum interval of 1 h during the first 16 h, and thereafter at a maximum interval of 24 h until completion of the test. During the test the attenuation limits of test No. 1 shall be met. During and on completion of the test the attenuation shall be within 0,5 dB with respect to the initial value at ambient conditions. During the test the return loss limits of test No. 5 shall be met.
