18、dedthattheirstructure,appearanceandmaximumtensilestrengthhavenotbeen alteredessentiallyafterasoilburialtest. Theassessmentofdamageresistancetakesintoaccountthestructure,theaspectandthechanges inthemaximumtensilestrength,comparedtountreatedspecimensofthesamematerialquality.Itis assessedbycomparingthe

19、relativedecreaseofmaximumtensilestrengthofburiedspecimens,with thatofunburiedcontrolspecimens. Alongtermrotretardantfinishoranincreasedlongtermresistancemeetswiththerequirementsfor cellulosecontainingtextilesifthemaximumtensilestrengthofaburiedspecimen,comparedwith an unburiedspecimen,doesnotdecreas

20、ebymorethan25%. Thesoilburialintervalsforlongtermretardantfinishestaketwicethetimeneededforcontrol specimenstolose80%oftheirmaximumtensilestrength.Thesoilburialintervalsforincreasedlong termresistantfinishestakesfourtimesthetimeneededforthecontrolstolose80%oftheirmaximum tensilestrength.ENISO117212:

21、2003(E) 5 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandarddescribesatestprocedureforidentificationofthelongtermresistanceofarot retardantfinishagainsttheattackofmicroorganismsinthesoil. Itallowsdistinctiontobemadebetweenrotretardantfinisheswithnolongtermresistance,with regularlong termresistanceandwithincreasedlongtermr

22、esistance,inordertoassessthesuitabilityforuseinthe tropics. Asthesoilburialtestisabiologicalprocessandthetestsoilnotaccuratelydefined,thisEuropeanStandard onlycoversthecomparisonoffinishedandunfinishedspecimens. 2 Normativereferences ThisEuropeanStandardincorporatesbydatedorundatedreference,provisio

28、5.2.ENISO117212:2003(E) 6 6 Testspecimens 6.1Samplingandpreparationofspecimens SpecimensshallbesampledandpreparedinaccordancewithENISO117211:2001,6.1. 6.2 Numberofspecimens Todeterminetherotretardantefficacyofspecimenswithnolongtermresistance,atleast20specimensshall beused(i.e.atleast10tobeburiedand

29、10nottobeburied).Forregularlongtermandincreasedlongterm resistancetests10morespecimensforeachtestshallbeburied. Ifadditionalleachingoftextileshasbeenagreed,doublethenumberofspecimensshallbeused. EXAMPLE Fortheidentificationoftherotretardantefficacyofleachedandunleachedspecimenswithnolongterm resista

30、nce,withregularlongtermresistanceandwithincreasedlongtermresistance,atleast80specimensarerequired. 6.3Controlspecimens Theendpoint( f 1 )shallbedeterminedInaccordancewithENISO117211usingatleast20unfinished, unleachedcontrolstripsofthesamematerialorequivalentmaterialqualityforthesoilburialtest,togeth

31、erwith 10specimenswhichwillnotbeburied,inordertodeterminetheinitialmaximumtensilestrength. 7Leaching procedure CarryoutleachinginaccordancewithENISO117211:2001,clause7. Leachedandunleachedspecimensshallbetested.Fordeterminingwaterproofrotretardantfinishings, leachedspecimensshallbetested. 8 Determin

32、ationofthedegradationactivityofthetestsoil DeterminethedegradationactivityofthetestsoilinaccordancewithISO117211:2001,clause8. Theactivityofthetestsoilshallfulfilthetensilestrengthlossofthecontrolwithin(72)days. 9Procedure CarryouttheproceduredescribedinENISO117211:2001,clause9. Thesoilburialtestsha

33、lllastuntilthecontrolstripshavelost80%oftheirmaximumtensilestrength.The durationoftheburialnecessarytogetthisvalueshallbedefinedastimeinterval f 1 ,expressedindays.
