The work of preparing International Standards is normally carr

20、ied out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work.

21、ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2. The main task of technical committees is to prepare Internat

22、ional Standards. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. 29、cope This International Standard defines terms used in thefootwear industry, in English, French, Spanish andItalian. The terms and their definitions are listedalphabetically in English. In the annexes, all the terms are listed alphabeticallyin English, French, Spanish and Italian, so that theuser of

30、 this International Standard can easily find thecorresponding definition and the equivalent terms inthe different languages. This International Standard is intended to facilitatecommunication in the footwear sector. NOTE In addition to terms in English and French, two ofthe three official CEN langua

31、ges, this InternationalStandard gives the equivalent terms in Italian and Spanish;these are published under the responsibility of the memberbody/National Committee for Italy and Spain. However,only the terms and definitions given in the officiallanguages can be considered as CEN terms anddefinitions
