28、r24hpriortothetest. 5 Testmethod 5.1Principle Thetestpiecesareexaminedvisually.Thenoneofthetestpiecesisstoredinastandardatmosphereandthe othertestpiece,togetherwithareferencesampleofaspecifiedtextile,arewashedundersuitableconditions oftemperature,alkalinityanddetergent,sothatthewashingcycleisshort.T
29、hentheyarerinsedanddried. Aftercompletewashingcycle,thetestpieceisexaminedinordertodetermine: - uppertosoleadhesion, - anycolourchanges, - miscellaneousdamage,suchastearing,lossofeyelets,etc., - anydimensionalchangeswhichmayhavetakenplace. 5.2Procedure 5.2.1 Initialassessment Theoperatorshallensuret
30、hatthevisualappearanceofthetestpieces,fortheleftandrightfeetofthepairs, isidentical. Thetestpieceshallbecharacterisedbyrecordingallofthedetail(colourofmaterial,decoration,washing instruction,etc.). Placethetestpieceonahorizontalflatsurfaceandwithoutapplyinganypressuretoanypartofsaidtest piece,measur
31、ethetoespringasshowninFigure2,usingthetoespringgauge(see3.4),andrecordthe result,inmm. Attheendofthecompletewashingcycle,noteanyvariationinthecolourofthetextilecomponentaccording toISO105A03.Ifthetextileisslightlycoloured,itshouldbereplacedforthefollowingtest. 5.2.2.3Drying LeavethetestpiecestodryfreelyinastandardatmosphereaccordingtoEN12222. NOTE Ventilationcanbeusedtoaccelerat

Thefinaldryingafteracompletewashingcycleisparticularlyimportant.Itisnecessarytoensure,by weighing,thatthetestpieceisreallydry,sothatthedifferenceinmassbetweentwoweightingscarriedout with1hofdifferenceshouldnotbegreaterthan1%.Thedriedtestpiececanthenbeusedforthefollowing test. 5.2.3 Assessme
