20、ational Standard from ISO/IEC/JTC1, Information Technology, of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has been taken over as a European Standard by CEN Technical Board. This European Standard shall be given the status of a nat

21、ional standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July1996, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by July1996. According to CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the following countries are bound to implement this European Standa

National bodies that are members of ISO or IEC participate in the development of International Standards through technical committees established by the respective organization to deal with particular fields of technical activity. ISO and IEC te

26、chnical committees collaborate in fields of mutual interest. Other international organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO and IEC, also take part in the work. In the field of information technology, ISO and IEC have established a joint technical committee, ISO/IEC JTC1.

27、In addition to developing International Standards, ISO/IEC JTC1 has created a Special Group on Functional Standardization for the elaboration of International Standardized Profiles. An International Standardized Profile is an internationally agreed, harmonized document which identifies a standard or

28、 group of standards, together with options and parameters, necessary to accomplish a function or set of functions. Draft International Standardized Profiles are circulated to national bodies for voting. Publication as an International Standardized Profile requires approval by at least75%of the natio

29、nal bodies casting a vote. International Standardized Profile ISO/IEC ISP10609-6was prepared with the collaboration of OSI Asia-Oceania Workshop (AOW); European Workshop for Open Systems (EWOS); OSI Implementors Workshop (OIW). 33、ithin the context of Functional Standardization, in accordance with the principles specified by ISO/IEC TR10000-1:1990. The context of Functional Standardization is one part of the overall field of Information Technology (IT) standardization activities, covering base standards, profiles, and registr

34、ation mechanisms. A profile defines a combination of base standards that collectively perform a specific well-defined IT function. Profiles standardize the use of options and other variations in the base International Standards, and provide a basis for the development of uniform, internationally rec

35、ognized system tests. One of the most important roles for an ISP is to serve as the basis for the development (by organizations other than ISO and IEC) of internationally recognized tests and test centres. ISPs are produced not simply to “legitimate” a particular choice of base standards and options

36、, but to promote real system interoperability. The development and widespread acceptance of tests based on this and other ISPs is crucial to the successful realization of this goal. ISO/IEC ISP10609consists of several parts, of which this is part6. ISO/IEC ISP10609-1, ISO/IEC10609-2, ISO/IEC10609-3a

37、nd ISO/IEC ISP10609-4specify subnetwork-type independent requirements for Group TB, TC, TD and TE profiles, respectively. ISO/IEC ISP10609-5, ISO/IEC10609-6, ISO/IEC10609-7and ISO/IEC ISP10609-8define TB1111/TB1121, TC1111/TB1121, TD1111/TD1121 and TE1111/TE1121, respectively. ISO/IECISP10609-9speci

38、fies subnetwork-type dependent requirements concerning permanent access to packet switched data network using virtual calls. 1 Scope 1.1 General This part of ISO/IEC ISP10609 is applicable to end systems concerned with operating in the Open Systems Interconnection(OSI) environment. It specifies a co

39、mbination of OSI standards, which collectively provide the connection-mode Transport Service using the connection-mode Network Service. This part of ISO/IEC ISP10609is applicable to the provision of the connection-mode Transport Service in end systems attached to any type of subnetwork from which th

40、e standardized connection-mode Network Service can be made available. This part of ISO/IEC ISP10609specifies the definition of Profiles TC1111/TC1121. The TC1111/TC1121are profiles in the TC group which uses Transport protocol classes0and2. 1.2 Position of Profile within the Taxonomy ISO/IEC ISP1060

41、9covers the taxonomy elements identified as “TB, TC, TD and TE” in the “Directory of Profiles and ISPs” contained in ISO/IEC TR10000-2. This part of ISO/IEC ISP10609specifies the definition of Profile TC1111/TC1121. These profiles may be combined with any A-profile at the A/T boundary. 1.3 Scenario

42、Figure 1 illustrates the end system configurations to which TC1111/TC1112 profiles are applicable. This part of ISO/IEC ISP10609specifies the required functions from the supporting protocol stack shown in Table 1 and Table 2.
