According to EN 473:2000, Clause 7.1.3.3, the discontinuities contains in the test specimens may be natural, artificial or implanted. Acoustic Emission Testing, Infrared Thermography Testing and Leak Testing need not de

、l NOTE Samples may contain smaller discontinuities as those indicated below, but they are not to be taken into consideration for examinations. If available, threshold values are given in NDT product standard. In case there are no available standard or no value given, the following values shall be us

、ed. CEN/TS 15053:20057 5.2 Radiographic testing (RT) 5.2.1 For specimen examination The test specimen need not contain any discontinuity. 5.2.2 For interpretation of radiographs indication size in the radiograph Planar indication: Minimum length: 5 mm. Volumetric indication: Pores: 2 mm; Cluster: 5

、mm; Inclusion: 3 mm. 5.3 Ultrasonic testing (UT) Planar discontinuity: Minimum length: 5 mm; Through wall extend: 2 mm. Volumetric discontinuity: Minimum size: side drill hole of 2 mm. 5.4 Magnetic particle and penetrant testing (MT-PT) Linear indication: Minimum length: 3 mm. Rounded indication: Is

、tion test (radiographs) 8.1 Definition Radiographic interpretation test is constituted by radiographs (original or copy), exhibiting a sufficient range of artefacts material/structural anomalies and densities, to provide a realistic and unambiguous test of the ability of a radiographic interpreter t

、o read, interpret and accurately report the results of radiographs. 8.2 Conditions Radiographs shall be in good condition for viewing (verified and attested before the beginning of each exam session, by one jury Level 3 RT who belongs to the board of examiners), and shall contain, as a minimum, one

、indication and should contain not more than five different types of indications. The use of radiograph copies or digitally reproduced is not precluded if the quality of the copy is achieved in respect of density, contrast, definition and sensitivity. They have to meet the minimum requirements of the

、 specification applied for the original radiographs. Radiographs may be of any size providing a suitable film viewer. Examination centres shall hold representative radiographs of the product sectors they are approved for. For In Service Inspection industrial sector, the range of radiographs shall in

、clude those relevant of the two following product sectors: weldings (w) and castings (c). 8.3 Quality Radiographs shall be produced in accordance with the appropriate standard and also with respect to exposure parameters, resulting optical density and processing. Image Quality Indicators of an inter

、nationally recognized type, shall be visible on each test specimen radiograph. To unambiguously determine indication location by a candidate, radiographs shall contain a sufficient number of marker points, at least not less than two. CEN/TS 15053:20059 9 Master report All the discontinuities in the

、test specimens, which could be relevant for the evaluation, shall be reported on a master report, which shall contain as a minimum the following: a) name and logo of certification body; b) test specimen identification number; c) product; d) material; e) NDT method; f) reference standard used; g) acc

、eptable/ unacceptable criteria level to be used, if applicable; h) equipment and means; i) setting up used to perform the test and tolerance, if applicable; j) indication: type; position in relation to a given reference point and tolerance, if applicable; dimensions; orientation. k) final acceptable

Note The use of sketches to enhance information is not precluded. Sketches may be scaled. 1) Depending on the acceptance level of indication and candidates qualific
