、tter After switching from the telephone to the facsimile mode and unless the Calling tone signal (CNG) is transmitted, the facsimile machine shall emit no signal above - 60 dBm until the Group identification (GI2 or GI1/2) signal is detected. After detection of the end of GI2 or GI1/2 signal, the fa

、csimile machine shall transmit the Group 2 command (GC2) signal followed by the Line conditioning signal (optional) and the Phasing signal. The maximum delay between any two signals sent by the transmitter shall not exceed 100 ms. If GI2 or GI1/2 is not detected within 30-40 seconds of switching fro

、m the telephone to the facsimile mode, the facsimile equipment shall follow the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.1.2. At the end of the Phasing signal, the facsimile machine shall emit no signal above -60 dBm until the Conrmation to receive (CFR2) signal is detected. The facsimile machi

、ne shall commence transmission of the message within 100 ms of the recognition of the end of the CFR2 signal. If the CFR2 signal is not detected within 3 to 10 seconds of the end of the Phasing signal, the facsimile machine shall follow the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.1.2. Immediat

、ely following the message, the facsimile machine shall transmit the End of message (EOM) signal, Following transmission of the EOM signal, the facsimile machine shall transmit no signal above -60 dBm but shall look for reception of the Message conkmation (MCF2) signal from the distant receiver. If the facsimile machine wishes to send more than one document without the necessity of operator intervention, it may transmit the Calling tone (CNG) signal and shall return to the beginning of the transmission procedure i.e. looking for the reception of t

、he GI2 or GI1/2 signal. If it is capable of sending only one document, the facsimile machine shall follow the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.1.1. If the MCF2 signal is not detected within 3 to 10 seconds of the end of transmission of the EOM signal, the facsimile machine shall follow

、the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.1.2. Receiver After switching from the telephone to the facsimile mode, the facsimile machine shall follow one of the procedures detailed below: If the facsimile machine is provided with facilities to automatically answer incoming calls, it shall tra

、nsmit the Called station identification (CED) signal followed by the GI2 signal. If the facsimile machine has facilities to automatically answer incoming calls but is used in a manual reception mode, it may transmit the same signal format as in the automatic answer mode. If the facsimile machine is

、not provided with facilities to automatically answer incoming calls, it shall transmit either the GI2 signal or the CED signal followed by the GI2 signal. During the “silent” periods in the GI2 signal, the facsimile machine shall transmit no signal above -60 dBm and shall look for reception of the G

、C2 signal. If the GC2 signal is not received within 30-40 seconds after switching from the telephone mode to the facsimile mode, the facsimile machine shall follow the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.2.2. After detection of the GC2 signal, the facsimile machine shall look for the recep

、tion of the (optional) Line conditioning signal and the Phasing signal. The reception or non-reception of the Line conditioning signal shall not cause misoperation of the facsimile machine. After reception of the Phasing signal and provided that the receiver has synchronised to the distant transmitt

、er, the facsimile machine shall transmit the Confirmation to receive (CFR2) signal. The CFR2 signal shall not be transmitted before the end of the Phasing signal. If the receiver has not synchronised with the transmitter by the end of the Phasing signal, the facsimile machine shall follow the interr

、upt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.2.2. After transmission of the CFR2 signal, the facsimile machine shall transmit no signal above - 60 dBm and shall look for reception of the message or the EOM signal. If neither the message signal nor the EOM signal is detected within 1 to 2 seconds of the e

、nd of the CFR2 signal, the facsimile machine shall follow the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.2.2. If the EOM signal is received, then the receiver shall transmit the MCF2 signal after detection of the end of the EOM signal. If the EOM signal is not received after the message, the facs

、imile machine shall follow the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.2.2. After transmission of the MCF2 signal, the facsimile machine shall follow one of the procedures detailed below: If the receiver is able to receive another document without operator intervention, the facsimile machine s

、hall transmit the GI2 signal. If the GC2 signal is not detected within 30 to 40 seconds of transmission of the first GI2 signal, the facsimile machine shall follow the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.2.1. If the receiver is not able to receive another document without operator interven

、tion, it shall follow the interrupt procedure detailed in paragraph 6.5.2. i. Procedure interrupt signal It is permitted to include the facility to transmit the Procedure interrupt signal (PIS) from the facsimile machine when it is operating as a transmitter or a receiver. However, it should be note

、d that not all facsimile machines may have the facility to detect reception of this signal and interrupt the transmission or reception procedure. It should be noted also that the circuitry used to detect this signal should allow for an additional frequency shift of up to + 6 Hz due to the GSTN conne

、xion between the 2 facsimile machines. Transmission or reception of PIS shall cause the facsimile machine to follow the interrupt procedure detailed in para- graph 6.5,1.2, or 6.5.2.2. as appropriate.
