2、 European Conference of Posts and Telecommunications Administrations, Considering - the common CEPT approach to the ISDN and the general CEPT assumptions and policies for the evolution - the I. Series Recommendations and other relevant Recommendations (e.g. in the Q. Series) on ISDN approved that th
3、ese Recommendations meet the basic CEPT requirements on an ISDN but also other non-CEPT requirements; that these Recommendations: -k are incomplete in certain areas of interest to CEPT, j, contain ambiguities, j, contain material not appropriate to CEPT, j, contain certain options requiring a select
4、ion for CEPT application; j, a harmonised introduction and provision of public telecommunication services in Europe, j, a harmonised introduction of ISDN in Europe, j, an open market for telecommunication equipment in Europe and portability of terminal equipment, j, a utilisation of public network a
5、ccess standards in the field of private switched networks (e.g. PABXs, LANs). towards an ISDN; by CCITT at its Plenary Assembly 1984, to which CEPT Administrations have contributed significantly; - that a comprehensive and unique set of CEPT Recommendations on ISDN is desirable in order to promote:
6、Recommends - to the members of the CEPT, which intend to introduce ISDN, that they: j, evolve their telecommunication networks towards ISDN according to the general policies and strategies given in the “ISDN in Europe” Report and the I. Series Recommendations, -k apply, in principle, the relevant CC
7、ITT Recommendations on ISDN when implementing national ISDNs, j, apply, in particular, the additional CEPT Recommendations on ISDN Note: The CEPT Recommendations on ISDN are structured in accordance with the I. Series Recommendations and recommend specific CEPT interpretation and selection of requir
8、ements of the CCITT Recommendations as well as additional require- ments which are specific to CEPT. 14、he corresponding CEPT Recom- mendation only consists of a brief outline of the contents and reference to the particular CCITT Recommendation. When part of a CCITT Recommendation does not apply within CEPT, it has been modified as necessary and the new text appears in full as a CEPT Recommendation.
