38、rd is to make ABMs or their environment more accessible, there might be some people with disabilities who have requirements beyond the scope of this Standard.1.2 This Standard specifies technical requirements applicable to the design and manufacture of (a) wall-mounted ABMs;(b) stand-alone ABMs; and

39、 (c) ABM sites.1.3 This Standard does not apply to drive-through ABMs.1.4 This Standard does not specify the application of technical requirements. Note: The extent to which technical requirements are applied is the responsibility of others, such as the authority having jurisdiction.1.5 In CSA Stand

45、mation presented in Braille, in large print, on tape, or electronically (e.g., CD-ROM, diskette).Automated banking machine (ABM) a stand-alone or wall-mounted machine that is customer-activated and designed to perform basic transactions, such as cash withdrawal, cheque deposit, bill payment, and tra

46、nsfer between accounts.Note: ABM is also referred to as automated teller machine (ATM).
