、6.1.1 GeneralThe criteria specified in Clauses 6.1.2 to 6.1.6 shall be used to assess the equipment for arcing. The equipment shall meet the criteria specified in Clauses 6.1.2 to 6.1.6 to qualify as arc-resistant equipment.6.1.2 Criterion No. 1 DeformationDoors, covers, wiring plugs, windows, and s

、imilar parts shall not open. Bowing or other distortion may occur provided that no part comes out as far as the position of the indicators or walls (whichever is closer) on any side. An installation that is mounted closer to the wall than tested shall be considered to meet Criterion No. 1 provided t

、hat the following conditions are met:(a) The permanent deformation shall be less than the intended distance to the wall.(b) Exhausting gases shall not be directed to the wall.6.1.3 Criterion No. 2 FragmentationNo fragmentation of the enclosure shall occur within the time specified for the test. Smal

、l parts may be ejected from any assessed external surface above a height of 2 m (79 in) and from any external surface not under assessment. There shall be no restriction on the number of parts allowed to eject, but the mass of individual parts shall not exceed 60 g.6.1.4 Criterion No. 3 Burn-through

、Arcing shall not cause holes in the accessible sides up to a height of 2 m (79 in) as follows:(a) Accessibility Type 1 Arcing shall not cause holes in the freely accessible front of the enclosure.(b) Accessibility Type 2 Arcing shall not cause holes in the freely accessible front, sides, and rear of

Because it is not possible to cover the entire area under assessment with indicators, any opening in the area under assessment that resul

、ts from direct contact with an arc shall be considered cause for failure.6.1.5 Criterion No. 4 Indicators (see Clause 5.4)No indicators shall ignite as a result of escaping gases. Indicator ignition or holes as a result of glowing particles or indicators ignited as a result of the burning of paint,

、labels, nameplates, or mimic bus are acceptable. High-speed movies or video may be used to evaluate the cause of indicator ignition.Surface discoloration or charring that does not result in glowing or flaming of the indicator cloth shall be allowed. Any indicator cloth with surface discoloration or
