18、or Commercial Activities 1-1 This Standard describes a procedure for the measurement of A-weighted sound levels in and around industrial, institutional, or commercial sites. 1,2 sour (b) The sound levels at operator work stations; (c) The sound levels at the property line of an industrial, instituti

Irstrumentaticm 2.1 The following instrumentation shall be used: (a) A sound level meter that meets or exceeds the Type 2 requirements of CSA Standard 2107.1, Specification for Soun
20、d Level Meters; (b) A microphone windscreen that conforms to the requirements of Clause 2.2; and (c) A sound level calibrator that is capable of checking the measurement system at one or more frequencies with an accuracy of k 0.5 dB. Notes: (1) instruments meeting Type f mquikments of fEC Standard 6
21、51, Sou Donot exceed 105 dB*A; Occur less than 5 times in 8 h; or Have a single event duration of less than 2 s. Measurements Note: If the time average sound levels are measured, then the time intern2 shall be at least that noted in Clause 4.3.4. 4.3.1 The sound level meter shall be set on slow resp
22、onse and the A-weighting network used. 43.2 Calibration checks of the sound level measuring system shall be performed. List at the beginning and end of each days work or before and after each sequence of measurements. If a change of more than 0.5 dB is observed, the results of the entire sequence sh
23、all be rejected. 4.3.3 No more than one person (see Note) other than the observer reading the sound level meter shall be within 5 m of the noise source or micro- phone and that person shall be behind the observer. 5.1 (a) A statement that the measurements have been conducted in accordence with the p
24、rovisions of this CSA procedure; exceptions shall be noted; The report shall include the following: (b) A site layout showing measurement locations; (e) A statement about the activity modes at the time of measurement. If measurements were made for different operating modes and time frames, these mus
25、t be clearly distinguished from each other. 5.2 In addition to the requirements of Clause 5.1, consideration may be given to including any of the following: fa) A list of the equipment used to make the measurements, including serial numbers; (b) A statement regarding: the observed variability of sou
26、nd level data; (c) A statement about the spectral and temporal characteristics of the sound broadband, tonal, continuous, or im pulsi vel. Note: If the usual opemtion of the equipment requims operators within the work ffretl, this shall be permitted. The exact location of the measure- ment station s
