24、.3 Surface conditionThe surface condition of ingots or jumbos shall be such that their composition is not affected and they can beused as intended.7 Sampling and analysis7.1 SamplingSampling shall be in accordance with DIN EN 12402.7.2 AnalysisThe method of analysis shall be at the suppliers discret
25、ion if it is his responsibility to check a cast for compli-ance with the requirements.NOTE 1: If the analysis is made by optical emission spectrometry, then the method described in ENV 12908should be used. In cases of dispute, the methods described in ENV 13800 or ENV 14138 are to be used.NOTE 2: Th
26、e nature of specimens only permits chemical methods of analysis to be applied.7.3 Rounding of resultsResults as calculated or observed are to be rounded following the rules set out in Annex B of ISO 31-0. The valueis to be rounded in one step to the same number of places as are specified in this sta
27、ndard.The results shall be rounded as follows:a) if the figure following the last significant place is less than five, then the latter shall remain unchanged;b) if the figure following the last significant place is five or higher, the latter shall be increased by one.8 MarkingIngots shall be clearly
28、 and durably marked al least with the following:a) name or mark of manufacturer (mostly a stamp);b) number of cast.Subject to agreement, the following shall be marked:c) material designation or number;d) any additional details required (e.g. name of purchaser, colour code).Any labelling of products
