、e of at least 25 mm from the edge. The mean of the four readings shall be taken as the thickness. The deviation of a single value may exceed the values given in the tables by no more than 50 %. The difference between the measured maximum and minimum values shall not be greater than the tolerance spe
、cied for the mean (i.e. the sum of the upper and lower deviations).EXAMPLEFor a plate, 17 mm thick, 1000 mm wide, of material group II,a) the limit deviations for the mean thickness may be +0,60 mm and 0,30 mm andb) the limit deviations for a single value may be +0,90 mm and 0,45 mm,and, for a singl

、with ame-cut or arc plasma-cut edges (BK);c) with edges cut by shears (GK);d) with a special edge nish (SK) (e.g. edges cut by machining, chamfered, deburred).4.5.2 Cutting sheet/plate using guillotine shears results in steps forming along the longitudinal edges of the material. The width of such st
、eps shall be 50 % smaller than the tolerances specied in table 3.4.5.3 The supply of sheet/plate with unnished edges shall be subject to agreement. In this case, the toler-ances specied for length and width do not apply.4.5.4 It should be noted that sheet/plate with cut edges have a burr, which is a
、cceptable if the burr height is less than 10 % of the material thickness. If the edge nish is to meet special requirements, this is to be indicated when ordering.5 MaterialsNickel and nickel alloy sheet/plate shall conform to DIN 17750, unless otherwise agreed.Since sheet/plate is not available in a
、ll grades and sizes, details should be agreed upon at the time of order-ing. This standard classies nickel sheet/plate into two material groups, based on their deformation behaviour (see tables 6 and 7).Page 6DIN 59740 : 2004-07Table 6: Material group IMaterial Approx. density, in kg/dmAs specied in
