5、14) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 69 “Industrial valves” (Secretariat: AFNOR, France). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the DIN-Normenausschuss Armaturen (DIN Standards Committee Valves), Working Committee NA 003-01-01 AA Grundnormen. Attention is drawn t

6、o the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. DIN and/or DKE shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 12516-1:2005-08 as follows: a) new PN values PN 160, PN 250, PN 3

7、20 and PN 400 have been added; b) B designation rating has been replaced by the PN designation; c) B20 rating values have been replaced by Class 150 and the calculation method given in ASME B16.34 has been used; d) new PN values have been added to Table 7 for the valve body minimum wall thickness va

8、lues; e) material tables have been updated to be in line with EN 1092-1 for the EN materials; f) materials 1.0345 and 1.4458 have been deleted; g) Annex B “Material groups” has been updated and is now normative; h) requirements for special class valves are now given in the informative Annex C; i) EN

9、 material properties for pressure temperature calculation have been modified (Rm/3,5), to be in line with the new ASME rules, and Rp1%is used for stainless steel according to EN 12516-2; j) EN material properties used for rating calculation have been updated to the new ASME B16.34 rules; k) in the p

10、ressure-temperature calculation formula the stress factor S has been changed to 120,7 MPa to obtain a pSvalue of 775,7 bar which is the ceiling pressure when calculating Special Class 4 500; l) pressure/temperature ratings have been recalculated. For PN values, they are now limited to the PN number;

11、 this has been done by increasing the pcvalue in the pressure rating calculation method and consequently, the wall thickness for the PN designation has been increased; m) Annexes D, E, F, G for NDE have been updated to the new EN standards and are now informative; n) Annex H concerning requirements

12、for Limited Class valves is now informative; o) ASTM/ASME materials are now covered in the informative Annex I; DIN EN 12516-1:2015-01 3 p) an informative Annex J on the relationship between DN, NPS, pipe inside diameter Dniand pipe outside diameter “OD” has been added; q) Annex ZA has been revised.

13、 Previous editions DIN EN 12516-1: 2005-08 DIN EN 12516-1:2015-01 4 National Annex NA (informative) Non-conflicting national additions This annex applies only for the German version of European Standard EN 12516-1:2014 and contains non-conflicting national additions in accordance with the ECISS Inte

14、rnal Regulations of 1989. NA.1 General Steel grade P250GH (previously designated as C22.8 in DIN 17243) is available and widely used in Germany. NA.2 Status The steel grade mentioned above is included in the German version of European Standard DIN EN 10222-2:2000 so that it can continue to be used i

15、n Germany. The inclusion of this steel grade in the next edition of EN 10222-2 is planned. NA.3 Condition on delivery Steel grade P250GH (material no. 1.0460) is normally to be supplied in the normalized condition (+N) in thicknesses up to 750 mm. Its chemical composition, mechanical properties, hea

16、t treatment and other requirements are specified in the National Annex to the German version of European Standard DIN EN 10222-2:2000. NA.4 Material classification and pressure/temperature ratings Steel grade P250GH (material no. 1.0460) is classified into material group 3E0 and is assigned the corr

17、esponding pressure/temperature ratings. DIN EN 12516-1:2015-01 5 National Annex NB (informative) General information on class designations, pressure/temperature ratings and minimum wall thicknesses NB.1 General The present standard lists PN-designated pressure/temperature ratings for the relevant ma

18、terial groups in accordance with the philosophy of the ASME Code. It was not possible to conform fully with the pressure/temperature ratings of EN 1092-1 because the method for determining these ratings as described in Annex A of the present standard differs from the corresponding method in EN 1092-

19、1. In EN 1092-1:2013, Annex G the pressure/temperature ratings are calculated by using the strength values of steel forgings and are verified for flat steel products of the same group. In the present standard, castings are also taken into consideration in these calculations. NB.2 PN and class design

20、ation If a PN series is to be assigned a class designation as in ASME B16.34:2013, Appendix B-4, then it is necessary to have a reference point. For example, in the DIN 2401 series the reference point for PN 100 is 300 C/100 bar, that is, the maximum temperature when the nominal pressure is reached.

21、 This point called the “ceiling pressure-temperature value” in the ASME Code represents an upper limit that is not permitted to be exceeded. For valves with a class designation, these limit values are given in Table B-3M “Ceiling pressure, bar” of ASME B16.34. An “intermediate class rating” is then

22、interpolated for the reference point 300 C/100 bar. Taking the values from Table B-3M “Ceiling pressure, bar” for “A Standard class”, and putting them into the pressure-temperature matrix as in ASME B16.34, Table B-1 results in the following: Table NB.1 Pressure-temperature matrix (interpolation met

Thus, PN 100 corresponds to intermediate pressure class 700. DIN EN 12516-1:2015-01 6 NB.3 Calculating pressure

24、/temperature ratings Equation (A.2) in Annex A of the present standard is used to calculate the rating for class 4 500. Ratings for other classes can be determined using the ratios for determining pressure/temperature ratings given in Table A.3 of this standard, or by replacing the value 775,7 in Fo

25、rmula (A.2) with the relevant pcvalue as in Table A.1 of this standard multiplied by 10. The stress factor S = 120,7 MPa can be determined by equating the two formulae. It can also be found as a numerical value in Formula (A.2) used to e

35、stablish pressure/temperature ratings (see NB.3). The calculation pressures, pc, specified in Annex A, Table A.1 of the present standard were determined for a temperature of 38 C using Formula (B-9) as in ASME B16.34. The calculation pressure for PN 100/Class 700 is 120,7 bar or 12,07 MPa. Table NB.
