、ean Standard is one of three closely related standards for testing and classifying bedding items with regard to their burning behaviour. DIN EN 14533:2015-05EN 14533:2015(E)5 1 Scope This European Standard specifies a classification scheme for the burning behaviour of bedding items based on two igni
、tion sources (smouldering cigarette and small open flame). The classification is applied to single bedding items only and not to complete bed assemblies. 2 Normative references The following documents, in whole or in part, are normatively referenced in this document and are indispensable for its app

、2952-1) EN ISO 12952-2, Textiles - Assessment of the ignitability of bedding items - Part 2: Ignition source: match-flame equivalent (ISO 12952-2) 3 Basis for classification The classification scheme is based on the criteria of ignition as listed in EN ISO 12952-1 and EN ISO 12952-2. 4 Test methods
、and acceptance criteria 4.1 Test methods The classification scheme refers to all the EN ISO 12952 test methods for the ignitability by a smouldering cigarette and by a small open flame. Materials shall be cleaned before testing as mentioned in EN ISO 12952-1 and EN ISO 12952-2 and the adopted proced
、ure shall be mentioned in the test report. 4.2 Acceptance criteria A material passes the ignitability test by a smouldering cigarette in accordance with EN ISO 12952-1 if “non-ignition“ is recorded. A material passes the ignitability test by a small open flame in accordance with EN ISO 12952-2 if “n
、on-ignition“ is recorded. 5 Classification This standard has the following class definitions as given in Table 1.
