This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the new “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/E
8、C, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed
9、a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards and hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of th
40、is European Standard. Where for clarity an example of a preventative measure is given in the text, this should not be considered as the only possible solution. Any other solution leading to the same risk reduction is permissible if an equivalent level of safety is achieved. This European Standard as
41、sumes that the equipment is operated and maintained by trained personnel. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that h
42、ave been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. DIN EN 14673:2010-10 EN 14673:2006+A1:2010 (E) 7 1 Scope This European Standard applies to: hydraulically powered open die forging presses for hot working; handling and cooling equipment connected with the control syste
43、m of the forging line, e. g., manipulators, rotating type handling devices, die shifting devices, table devices and tool changing devices; handling equipment designed specifically to be used within the forging line, e. g., material manipulation devices, turnover or handling devices attached to fork
44、lift trucks or cranes etc. It specifies the health and safety requirements at all stages in the life of the equipment, its design, ordering, construction, use and disposal. This European Standard specifies requirements to be met by the manufacturer to ensure the health and safety of persons during c
45、onstruction, transport, commissioning, operation, maintenance and de-commissioning, as well as in the event of foreseeable faults as malfunctions which may occur in the equipment. This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to !hydraulically po
46、wered open die hot forging presses“ when they are used as intended and under conditions foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4). This European Standard does not cover: hydraulically controlled closed die forging presses for hot working; mechanically powered hot forging presses; mobile manipul
47、ators as defined in 3.4.2; standard transport and lifting equipment modified for use with material manipulation devices, turnover and handling devices such as for fork lift trucks and cranes.
