5、ocument (EN 15571:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 151 “Construction equipment and building material machines Safety” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the DIN-Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (DIN Standards Committee Mechanical

6、 Engineering), Working Committee NA 060-13-11 AA Natursteinmaschinen of Section Bau- und Baustoffmaschinen. Representatives of manufacturers and users of surface finishing machines, and of the employers,liability insurance associations contributed to this standard. This standard contains specificati

7、ons meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements

8、of that directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). DINEN 15571:2015-03EN 15571:2014 (E) 4 Introduction This document has been prepared to be a harmonized standard to provide one means of conforming to the essential health and safety requir

25、ements of the Machinery Directive and associated EFTA Regulations. This document is a type C standard as defined in EN ISO 12100:2010. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of

26、this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. The requirem

27、ents of this document are directed to manufacturers and their authorized representatives of surface finishing machines. It is also useful for designers. This also includes examples of information to be provided by the manufacturer to the user. DINEN 15571:2015-03EN 15571:2014 (E) 5 1 Scope This Euro

28、pean Standard applies to stationary surface finishing machines, with stationary work piece (see 3.1) or with moving work piece (see 3.2), which are used to grind or polish horizontal surfaces of slabs, strips or tiles of natural stone and engineered stone (e.g. agglomerated stone) as defined by EN 1

29、4618:2009. This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to surface finishing machines, when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4). This European Standard spec

30、ifies the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks arising from the significant hazards. This European Standard deals with the foreseeable lifetime of the machinery including the phases of transport, assembly, dismantling, disabling and scrapping. This European Standard does not d

31、eal with: hand-held grinding machines; machines intended for operation in a potentially explosive atmosphere; operation in severe environmental conditions (e.g. extreme temperatures, corrosive environment); machines intended for outdoor operation. This European Standard is not applicable to machiner
