This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 235 “Gas pressure regulators and associated safety devices for use in gas transmi
4、ssion and distribution” (Secretariat: UNI, Italy). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Gastechnik (Gas Technology Standards Committee). This standard has been included in the body of Codes of practice for gas issued by the DVGW Deutscher Verein des Gas- un
5、d Wasserfaches e.V. (German Association of Gas and Water Engineers). This standard has been harmonized in all key points with the essential requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive, with the exception of the external resistance to environmental conditions where corrosion occurs. When operati
6、ng gas pressure regulators as in this standard in installations conforming to the codes of practice for gas issued by the DVGW Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e.V. (German Association of Gas and Water Engineers), the specifications of DVGW Arbeitsblatt G 491 shall be taken into account. A
7、s regards the calculation of volumetric flow rates for sizing purposes, only those methods specified in 6.2.1 and 6.2.3 (except for the limitations given in the fifth paragraph above) are to be used, whereby the following definition of KGapplies: KGrepresents the gas flow rate at an absolute inlet p
8、ressure of 2 bar at an absolute outlet pressure of 1 bar at a gas inlet temperature of 15 C (288,15 K) at a gas standard density of 0,83 kg/m3 KGis expressed in m3/(h bar). 43、ation of gas pressure regulators used in the pressure regulating stations in accordance with EN 12186 or EN 12279:“ for inlet pressures up to 100 bar and nominal diameters up to DN 400; for an operating temperature range from -20 C to +60 C, which operate with fuel gases of the 1stand 2ndfamily in a
44、ccordance with EN 437 in transmission and distribution networks and also in commercial and industrial installations. “Gas pressure regulators“ hereafter will be called “regulators“ except in the titles. !For standard regulators when used in pressure regulating stations complying with EN 12186 or EN
45、12279, Annex ZA lists all applicable Essential Requirements except the external corrosion resistance in case of environmental conditions where corrosion is likely to occur.“ !This document considers the following classes/types of regulators:“ class 1: operating temperature range from -10 C to 60 C;
46、class 2: operating temperature range from -20 C to 60 C; ! type IS: (integral strength type); type DS: (differential strength type).“ This document applies to regulators which use the pipeline gas as a source of control energy unassisted by any external power source.
