5、rements. This document (EN ISO 14122-4:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 199 “Safety of machinery” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 114 “Safety of machinery”. This standard contains specifications giving detail to the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This sta

8、ndard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of that directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirement

9、s of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The International Standards referred to in Clause 2 and the Bibliography, and which have been taken over as European Standards, have been published as the corresponding DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. Where the International Stan

10、dards and documents referred to are not also DIN ISO Standards with the same number, there are no national standards available. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN ISO 14122-4:2010-12 as follows: a) the standard has been revised in form and substance. The significant technical changes compa

11、red with the previous edition are summarized in tabular form in Annex C (informative); b) information for designers of fixed ladders is given in National Annex NA. 12、nal Annex NA (informative) Information for manufacturers, operators/users and designers A.1 General When planning means of access to machinery, care should be taken to ensure that, in compliance with EN ISO 12100, all relevant information necessary for the design and construction of fixed ladders is

13、 provided by the operator/user. This applies in particular to information regarding limits of use, spatial limits and other limits, such as the ambient conditions forming the basis for appropriate material selection. It is, therefore, recommended that the required information take the form of a chec

14、klist. It should be noted that the respective specific part or parts of this standards series are to be seen in connection with Part 1 which specifies the order for the selection of the means of access to machinery and the general requirements for the means of access. For means of access supplied to

15、 countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the national regulations of these countries can also be relevant, e.g. those which should be included in a specification. A.2 Editorial notes Subclause 4.1.3: In Subclause 4.1.3, the expression “where obstacles such as pipes or trays cross” does n

16、ot mean bundles of pipes or several trays, but only an individual pipe or an individual tray in each case. In order to avoid misunderstanding, the following formulation should be used: 4.1.3 Spacing between the ladder and any permanent obstruction The space between the ladder and any permanent obstr

17、uction or obstacle shall be (see Figure 4) a) measured from the front of the rungs: 1) in front of the ladder: at least 650 mm or, where obstacles such as a pipe or a tray cross, 600 mm; 2) behind the ladder: at least 200 mm or, where obstacles such as a pipe or a tray cross, 150 mm. 19、to door systems given in the fifths and last indents should be given in the form of NOTES for better understanding. Thus, the two sentences should read as follows: they shall allow the safe passage of the operator while in the access position; NOTE This means “open”, if door systems are fitted. they

20、 shall return to a position preventing access by self-closing (e.g. spring applied) and self-locking (be locked) after safe passage.
