5、0-10 as a European Standard. The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Kommission Reinhaltung der Luft (KRdL) im VDI und DIN (VDI/DIN Air Quality Commission), Section IV Umweltmesstechnik. The requirements for emission test cells, including their operation, specified in this st
6、andard apply together with those specified in DIN EN ISO 16000-11, which describes the preparation of test specimens to be used in emission test cells, and DIN ISO 16000-6, which deals with the determination of VOCs. Depending on the measurement task, emission test chambers as in DIN EN ISO 16000-9
7、may be used as an alternative. The DIN Standard corresponding to the International Standard referred to in clause 2 of the EN is as follows: ISO 16000-11 DIN EN ISO 16000-11 National regulations regarding indoor air quality Aspects of planning indoor air measurements for particular substances or gro
8、ups of substances are dealt with in the various parts of Guideline VDI 4300 (see National Annex NA). In some cases, these VDI guidelines served as the sole basis for drawing up certain parts of ISO 16000 (for instance, ISO 16000-1, ISO 16000-2 and ISO 16000-5). The determination (sampling, analysis)
9、 of these substances or substance groups in indoor air is dealt with in the VDI 4301 series. Methods which are suitable for both indoor air and ambient air measurements are described in other VDI Guidelines. Thus the following national technical rules for indoor air measurements are available: the D
10、IN ISO 16000 series and the DIN EN ISO 16000 series: ISO standards which have been adopted as national standards, and the VDI 4300 series: Guidelines which have been drawn up at the national level. 36、on test cells in conjunction with the standardised sampling, storage of samples and preparation of test specimens has objectives such as: to provide manufacturers, builders, and end users with emission data useful for the evaluation of the impact of building products on the indoor air quality; to pr
37、omote the development of improved products; on-site investigation of building product surfaces. The method can in principle be used for most building products used indoors. EN ISO 16000-10:2006 (E) 5 1 Scope This part of ISO 16000 specifies a general laboratory test method for determination of the a
38、rea specific emission rate of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from newly produced building products or furnishing under defined climate conditions. The method can in principle also be applied to aged products. The emission data obtained can be used to calculate concentrations in a model room. Acco
39、rding to the definition of an emission test cell, it is also possible to perform non-destructive emission measurements on building products on-site in buildings. However, the procedure for such measurements is not described in this part of ISO 16000. Sampling, transport and storage of materials to b
40、e tested, and preparation of test specimens are described in ISO 16000-11. Air sampling and analytical methods for the determination of VOCs are described in ISO 16000-6 and ISO 16017-120. An example of an emission test cell is described in Annex C of this part of ISO 16000. For the determination of
41、 formaldehyde emissions from wood-based panels, refer to EN 717-1:2004 21and ISO 12460-1 1. However, this part of ISO 16000 is also applicable to wood-based panels and other building products in order to determine the emission rate of formaldehyde.
