Users of this standard shou

7、ld take note of the following: The principle difference between this standard and DIN ISO 15579:2002-06 is the introduction of a test method based on strain rates (including the crosshead separation rate) with narrow tolerances ( 20 %) (method A). The strain rate (controlled by means of an extensome

8、ter) should be used when strain rate sensitive para-meters are determined and a reduction in measurement uncertainty (as regards the influence of the testing rate) is desirable. Extensive information on the application and control of the strain rate is provided here, and information is given on the

9、calculation of the crosshead separation rate necessary for maintaining the strain rate while neglecting, but also in consideration of, the compliance of the testing machine. The previous method based on conventional strain rate ranges and tolerances (now method B) has been slightly modified. The res

10、ponsibility for the choice of method and rates is now specified and a simple means of reporting the chosen methods and rates which is now required is recommended. After many discussions and extensive investigations carried out in various projects, the responsible national body NA 062-01-42 AA strong

11、ly recommends the use of method A as specified in this standard. Where parameters deviate, it is also recommended that the strain rate be determined at the same moment the parameters are determined. In most cases the digital data files (see DIN EN ISO 6892-1:2009-12, Figure A.1) can be used for this

12、 purpose if the time channel has also been recorded. 14、onal Annex referring to the specification of cooling conditions has been included in the scope of this document; c) the standard has been revised in form and substance; d) only additions and variations to the tests at room temperature are dealt with in this document; e) for common specifications rel

15、ated to tests at room temperature reference is made to ISO 6892-1; f) the calculation of stress, yield strength or proof strength, tensile strength and of the percentage reduction area based on the cross-sectional area of the test piece at room temperature has been rendered more precise; g) the calc

16、ulation of the percentage elongation after fracture based on the gauge length and elongation measured at room temperature has been rendered more precise; h) Subclause 10.2.2 describes different methods of establishing the extensometer gauge length according to common practice and specifies that the

17、method used is to be documented; i) Subclause 10.3 and subsequent subclauses differentiate between two methods relating to test rates; definitions of different test rates, information on the application, choice of the test rates and documentation have been included; j) in Annex A, examples of variou

18、s test piece geometries and tolerances corresponding to the general requirements of the standard have been included; k) Annex C “Measurement uncertainty” has been included taking into account temperature and test rate parameters as well as the type of cooling medium; l) the standard has been editori

The first one, Method A, is based on strain rates (including crosshead separation

41、 rate) with narrow tolerances (20 %) and the second, Method B, is based on conventional strain rate ranges and tolerances. Method A is intended to minimize the variation of the test rates during the moment when strain rate sensitive parameters are determined and to minimize the measurement uncertain

42、ty of the test results.Mechanical properties determined by tensile test at low temperatures have been determined at the same rates at room temperature. This revised part of ISO 6892 incorporates the new set of testing rates of ISO 6892-1 and ISO 6892-2, developed to reduce the variability of test re
