Introduction In order to receive NDT personnel cert
7、ification according to DIN EN ISO 9712, the candidate shall provide evidence, at a minimum, of the completion of a theoretical and practical training program which is recognized by a certification body. The training program approval procedure involves verification by the certification body that the
8、content of the instruction adheres to those specifications published regarding the training. Many certification bodies also have a formal approval process in which a training curriculum of a training establishment is appraised in advance and officially approved. A characteristic unique to Germany is
9、 the dual vocational training system. Here, future skilled workers receive a comprehensive theoretical and practical training, which for some jobs also includes instruction in non-destructive testing methods. If these parts of the training program (e.g. vocational training as a materials tester) are
10、 to be certified as theoretical and practical training in compliance with DIN EN ISO 9712, they are also required to be appraised by the certification body. Because of legally established divisions of responsibility, the certification bodies are not able to directly appraise vocational training scho
11、ols in a formal approval process or to perform regular assessments. Thus, such training programs are approved on the basis of suitable evidence. This supplement provides a recommendation for a uniform approval procedure. In addition, this supplement gives detailed recommendations on the allocation o
12、f minimum training times in various areas involving infrared thermographic methods. DIN EN ISO 9712 Suppl. 1:2014-05 4 1 Scope This supplement provides recommendations on how to receive approval of the instructional content of vocational training (in vocational schools) relating to the qualification
13、 examination for the certification of NDT personnel, as well as the minimum training times for training in infrared thermography methods according to DIN EN ISO 9712:2012-12. 2 References The following documents, in whole or in part, are normatively referenced in this document and are indispensable

15、roval of instructional content of vocational training In the framework of certification in compliance with DIN EN ISO 9712:2012-12, (starting August 1, 2013) instructional training content can be approved which has been successfully completed as part of the “materials tester” job qualification in th
16、e dual vocational training system. In this case, the report booklet provides adequate proof of proper training according to 14 Abs. 1 Nr. 4 Berufsbildungsgesetz (Vocational training law - BBiG), which stipulates that trainees are to be encouraged to keep a documentation of their training. In additio
17、n to the report booklet, proof of NDT-specific training and tasks shall be provided. It shall be left to the discretion of the certification body to specify additional measures necessary prior to the admission of a candidate to qualification examinations in the individual NDT methods. 4 Infrared the
18、rmography It is recommended that methods of infrared thermography be divided into the following fields of application: building construction; electrical engineering; general industry passive thermography; general industry active thermography. Irrespective of the field, a minimum training time of 40
19、h in Level 1 should be completed. In Level 2, training times as outlined in Table 1 are recommended.
