General Requirements. The following requirements shall apply to all garbage disposal machines covered by this commerci
4、al i tem description. 1. Motors shall conform to NEMA Standard MG-l. 2. Machines shall be marked in accordance with and conform to Underwriters . Laboratories UL Standard 430. 3. Machines shall be vertical leakproof units 4. Overall height shall not exceed 26 inches exclusive of neoprene connector,

6、nel 6. When specified, machines shall be supplied with an 18 inches or 15 inches diameter stainless steel cone or a 16 inches x 19 inches x 7 inches stainless steel sink. 7. Machines shall have adjustable legs or feet and when installed shall provide for a minimum of 3 inches between the underside o
7、f the unit and the floor to allow for proper cleaning. o 8. In normal operation, the agitation shall be sufficient to flush the interior surfaces of the cone and reduction chamber, when the unit is supplied with water at the specified flow rate. 9. The control panel shall have automatic reversing to
8、 provide for alternate rotation each time the motor is started to minimize wear of cutting members, panels shall also be equipped with positive flush allowing the motor and water to run for a period of 2 to 4 minutes after the grinding operation is completed so that the machine and drain line are th
9、oroughly flushed. The control panel shall be housed in a NEMA 12 inclosure. Control 10. Unless otherwise specified, machines shall be designed to operate on 208 V, 60 Hz, 3 Ph power. Certification The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient chatacter- istics af this descr
10、iption and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices and is the same product offered in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwis
