Salient Characteristics. The gloves are to
2、 be used by ammunition and pyrotechnic material handlers. The gloves shall be constructed from a two piece cut and sew process, or fully fashioned from plain or jersey knit fabric, 100% cotton and polyvinyl chloride dipped. All seams shall be to the inside of the glove. Seam allowances shall be mini
3、mum. The coating compound will cover the entire outside surface of the glove and be suitably compounded to provide a good gripping surface, and abrasion resistance for the finished glove. The gloves shall be furnished in medium and large sizes for both men and women. The color of the finished glove
4、shall be tan/yellow. The gloves shall be paired by a commercially accepted method. The gloves shall be manufactured from plain or jersey knit fabric, 100% cotton, natural color. Sizes. The gloves shall be provided in the foll
7、owing sizes: Men s Medium Large Women s Medium Large NOTE: The gloves are ordered by size, therefore the sizes medium and large may be abbreviated as MED and LG. Label/markinq. In addition to any commercial markings, each glove shall be legibly stamped. The stamp shall be located on the outside of t
8、he glove containing the contractors name, contract number, size, NSN and fiber content. Patterns. Patterns will be developed by the contractor to meet the specified finished requirements. Abrasion Resistance. The finished gloves shall show no evidence of break thru on the coated fabric after the sur
9、face is abraded 500 cycles when tested in accordance with FED-STD-191, Test Method 5306 with a 1000 gr weight on each H-18 Wheel. The test shall be conducted on the coated side of the cloth and the evaluation performed from uncoated side. Sizes and Measurements. The finished gloves shall conform to

The Product Demonstration Model wil
13、l consist of units independently developed. Product Demonstration Models will be analyzed and evaluated by the government. Evaluation criteria and basis for award are contained in the solicitation. Product Demonstration Models will be retained by the government. One (1) Product Demonstration Model a
14、pproved by DPSC under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding production items delivered under this contract. Offerers are advised that the Product Demonstration Model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to perform in accordance w
15、ith the Commercial Item Description specified above. Quality Assurance Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assuran
16、ce practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for, under the provisions of the contract. Examination. Lots of gloves shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling Procedures and Tables fo
17、r Inspection by Attributes“, ANSI/ASQC 21.4, published by the American Society for Quality Control. Visual Examination. The inspection level for visual examination shall be II and the AQL 6.5. The sample unit shall be one glove and selection shall be by pairs. O Dimensional Examination. The finished
18、 gloves shall conform to the dimensions specified. Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance shall be classified as a defect. The sample unit shall be one glove; the inspection level shall be 5-3 and the AQL shall be 4.0. Packaqinq Examination. The fully packaged shipping containers
19、 shall be examined in accordance with defects listed below. The lot size shall be the number of shipping containers in the inspection lot. The inspection level shall be S-2 and AQL shall be 2.5 defects per 100 units. Examination Defect Ma teria 1 Missing, damaged, not as required. Content Number of

The gloves shall be uniform in quality and shall be free from irregularities or
21、 defects which affect performance, reliability, or durability. Commercial defects - any hole, cut, tear, drop stitch, thin area or mends; any smash, needle chew, burn lump, uncoated or abraded surface, or evidence of delamination on the outside of the gloves. Evidence of strike through of the coatin
22、g on the inside of gloves affecting the comfort or function; color of the coating not as specified. Not plain or jersey knit; not 100% cotton base fabric, not polyvinyl chloride dipped. No inside seams nor a good gripping surface. Gloves not cut or fabricated in accordance with the product demonstra
23、tion model. Any marking omitted, incorrect, illegible, or incomplete. Any dimensions less than minimum. Gloves not paired. Packaqinq, Packinq, Markinq, .and Palletization Packaging, packing, marking and palletization shall be in accordance with of ASTM-D 3951, Standard Practice for Commercial Packag
24、ing, including section 7. The unit pack shall consist of 12 pairs of gloves, bundled and securely tied. The shipping container shall be packed with 144 pairs of gloves (12 bundles) of only one size and type, and shall be a single wall fiberboard box conforming to style RSC-L, Class Domestic, Variety
25、 SW, Grade 275, with a double wall liner, grade,200 of PPP-B-636. Note: Each shipping container shall contain only one National Stock Number (NSN). Unitized loads, placing boxes on pallets, shall be used whenever total quantity for shipment to one destination exceeds 250 pounds (excluding the pallet
26、) or 20 cubic feet. Pallets shall have a length of 40 inches and a width of 48 inches. Pallet loads, including the pallet, shall not exceed 54 inches in height, 43 inches in length and 52 inches in width. The containers shall be bonded onto wing type commercial 4-way entry pallets. Note: All palleti
27、zed loads shall contain only one NSN, to the maximum extent possible. When there is less than a pallet load per NSN, pallets may have containers not of the same NSN, but the pallet shall be clearly marked “mixed“ and each applicable NSN shall be listed together with its total quantity.
