Abstract. The tape shall be one ty

2、pe of cotton tape for use in the manufacturing of dust respirators. SALIENT CHARACTERISTCS General DescriDtion. The cotton used in the manufacture of the yarn, used to produce this tape, shall be thoroughly cleaned and carded or combed, and evenly drawn, spun, and twisted into 2-ply yarn. The warp y

3、arn shall be 26/2 count and the filling yarn shall be 30/2 count. a Material. The fabric shall have a minimum total warp of 114 and 46 picks per inch in the filling. herringbone twill, 2/2, with five divisions alternating to the right and to the left. Lots of tape shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes“, ANSIIASQC 21.4, pubJished by the Ameri

18、can Society for Quality Control. The inspection level for visual examination shall be in accordance with ANSI/ASQC 21.4. The inspection level shall be I and the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL), expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 4.0. following defects: any spot or stain, clearl

Packaging, packing, marking and palletization shall be in accordance with ASTM-D 3951, Standard Practice for Comercial Packaging, as specified for shipments to the

23、 Department of Defense, including Section 7. Packaainq. protection from the supply source to the first receiving activity for immediate use. The cotton tape shall be packaged to afford adequate Packinq. The cotton tape shall be packed to insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to the first domes

Containers shall comply with The Uniform Freight Classification Rules and Regulations of other carriers applicable to the mode of transportation. a Marking. or purchase order, unit packages and shipping shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. The containers shall be bonded onto wing type comercial 4-way entry pallets. Pallet Unit

26、ized loads, placing boxes on pallets, shall be used whenever total quantity for shipment to one destination exceeds 250 pounds (excluding the pallet) or 20 cubic feet. Pallets shall have a length of 40 inches and a width of 48 inches. Pallet loads, including the pallet, shall not exceed 54 inches in
