This document descr
2、ibes an energy efficient fluorescent lighting fixture (hereafter referred to as the “fixture”) suitable for mounting on the under-side of a cabinet to provide 50 to 100 foot-candles intensity on the work surface 15 to 18 inches below. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 2.1. Design a nd construct ion. The c
3、onstruction and design of the fixture shall conform to the following: a. electrical supply cord; Hard Usage, 3 conductor, 9 foot length, b. lamp; one T8,3000K, 265 mA, tri-phosphor, c. ballast; class “P”, electronic, energy saving, thermally protected with a sound rating of “A”, producing a minimum
4、of 30,000 Hz and C.B.M. approved, d. reflectors; minimum 95% reflective, or .O05 Aluminum, semi difuse, e. housing or chassis; die-formed industry code gauge cold rolled steel, f. exterior finish; .O02 inch thickness of dry powder coat or semi-gloss off-white baked enamel, g. interior finish; (if wh
5、ite only) 85% reflectivity, semi-gloss baked enamel or equivalent anti-corrosion protection, , i. lens; clear acrylic prismatic diffuser producing a minimum luminance contrast of 74% any where on the work surface when measured with a Bruel portable light for use with office furniture: I.B.E.W. liste

8、ALITY ASSURANCE 3.1 Recycled Ma terial. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materiais to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Recycled and reclaimed materials shall consist of previously used material that
9、has been reprocessed to become a source of new raw materials. Under no circumstances shall the contractor submit reconditioned or rebuilt components for government acceptance; as a part of the equipment described herein. 4.1 Contractor Certificat ion. The contractor shall certiQ and maintain substan
10、tiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same as the product offered for sale in the commercial
11、marketplace. When specific quality assurance provisions are specified for any commercial characteristic the contractor shall furnish data resulting from inspection(s) conducted in accordance with the specific quality assurance provisions. The government reserves the right to require proof of such co
12、nformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Pack-. Preservation, packing, and palletization shall be as specified in the contract or order. 5.2 m. In addition to any special marking required by the contract
13、or purchase order, unit packs, shipping containers and unitized pallet loads shall be marked in accordance with MiGSTD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1 . Title, number, and date of this document 6.2 Metr IC Droduct . . Products manufactured to metric dimensions shall be considered on an equal basis with those manu
14、factured using inch-pound units, provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard Number 376, and all other requirements of this Commercial Item Description are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those
