SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers the req
2、uirements for a kit that replaces the Anchor, Rock, Camming Devices (A-A-59846) issued in the Assault Climber Team Kit (ACTK), (A-A-59873). It will provide sets of Anchor, Rock, Camming Devices to allow Assault Climbers to perform the same tasks as Soldiers who are issued the ACTK. 2. CLASSIFICATION
3、. The Anchor, Rock, Camming Device, Replacement Kits will be furnished in two kits. 2.1 Types. Type I Small Camming Devices Type II Large Camming Devices 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 7、rdance with drawings and specification requirements specified in the applicable CID document (see Table I and Table II) unless item is a manufacturers part number/cage code then, in which manufacturers current specifications apply. 3.2 Color. Individual item colors will be in accordance with applica
8、ble specifications (see Table I and Table II). 3.3 End item testing. Individual item test standards will be in accordance with their related International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation Standards, where applicable. 3.4 Materials. Individual item materials will be in accordance with applicabl
9、e specifications (see Table I and Table II). 3.5 Workmanship. The Anchor, Rock, Camming Device, Replacement Kits shall conform to the quality of product established by this document. The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance
10、standards defined in the technical data in the solicitation and/or contract. 3.6 Service life. The Anchor, Rock, Camming Device, Replacement Kits shall have no unexpected material or component failures during a continuous one-year cycle. The Anchor, Rock, Camming Device, Replacement Kits shall have
11、no unexpected material or component failures during periodic use over a five year period. 3.7 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instruction slip requirements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (see 7.2). 3.7.1 Labels. Each Anchor, Rock,
12、Camming Device, Replacement Kit shall have identification label Class 5 conforming to Type VI of MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. The following information shall be included in the printing for the identification label: ANCHOR, ROCK, CAMMING DEVICE, REPLACMENT KIT NSN: XXXX-XX-X

16、e 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or
17、environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product conformance. The produc
18、ts provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to requ
19、ire proof of such conformance. 5.2 End item examination. Each kit shall be examined for the following defects as listed in Table III: TABLE III.
