12、 88022 REV E PAGE 3 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Interface and physical dimensions. The interface and physical dimensions shall be as specified in MIL-PRF-39018 and herein (see figure 1). 3.1.1 Terminals. Terminals shall be solder-coated, solid wire leads (see figure 1). * 3.1.2 Case. Each capacitor shall be
13、 enclosed in a metal case, and shall be effectively sealed with an elastomer end seal which prevents leakage or excess evaporation of electrolyte. 3.1.3 Operating and storage temperature range. The operating and storage temperature range shall be -55C to +105C for capacitors rated up to 100 volts, a
14、nd -40C to +105C for capacitors rated greater than 100 volts. 3.1.4 Insulating sleeves. Insulating sleeves shall meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-39018. 3.2 Electrical characteristics. 3.2.1 Rated voltage. The rated voltage shall be in accordance with table I. 3.2.2 Dielectric. The dielectric shall
15、be aluminum oxide in accordance with MIL-PRF-39018. 3.2.3 Capacitance. Nominal capacitance shall be within -10 percent, +100 percent of the value shown in table I at +25C, measured at 120 Hz and 1.0 volt rms maximum. 3.2.4 Equivalent series resistance (ESR). Equivalent series resistance at 120 Hz an
16、d 20 kHz shall not exceed the values shown in table I when measured at +25C with a maximum of 1.0 volt rms applied. 3.2.5 DC leakage current CE. DC leakage current shall not exceed values determined from the equation I = 0.5 after a 15 minute application of rated dc working voltage with the capacito
17、r connected in series with 1,000 ohm resistor, except it need not be less than 4.0 uA. Where: I = Leakage current in (A) C = Rated capacitance (F) E = Rated dc voltage 3.2.6 Impedance. Impedance shall not exceed the value shown in table I when measured at +25C, at a frequency of 100 kHz. 3.2.7 RMS r
18、ipple current. Maximum limits at +85C, and at frequencies from 20 kHz to 100 kHz are shown in table I, for other temperatures, the +85C ripple rating must be multiplied by the applicable factor from figure 2. For frequencies below 100 kHz, the rated rms ripple current may be multiplied by the applic
19、able multiplier from figure 3. 3.2.8 Life. One hundred percent of rated voltage applied at +105C for 2,000 hours. 3.2.9 Reverse voltage. Reverse voltage shall be 1.5 volts maximum. Moisture resistance shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-39018. 3.3.2 Altitude operation. The altitude operation shall not exceed 70,
21、000 feet above sea level. 3.3.3 Shelf life. Shelf life shall be ten years minimum at a maximum storage temperature of +40C. 3.4 Physical characteristics. 3.4.1 Shock (specified pulse). Capacitors shall be tested in accordance with method 213 of MIL-STD-202. The following details shall apply: a. Capa
22、citors shall be rigidly supported. b. Test condition G (50 g peak). c. Measurement and electrical loading during shock: DC rated voltage shall be applied to the capacitor during test. Observations shall also be made to determine intermittent contact, arcing, open- or short-circuiting. Detecting equi
23、pment shall be sufficiently sensitive to detect any interruption of 0.5 ms or greater duration. d. Examination after test: Capacitors shall be visually examined for evidence of arcing, breakdown, mechanical damage, and leakage of electrolyte. 3.4.2 Random vibration. Capacitors shall be tested in acc
24、ordance with method 214 of MIL-STD-202. The following details shall apply: a. Mounting: Body of the capacitor shall be rigidly supported. b. Test condition E of table 214-II. c. Duration and direction of motion: Four hours in each of two mutually perpendicular directions (total of eight hours) one p
25、arallel and the other perpendicular to the cylindrical axis. d. Measurements: During the last 30 minutes in each direction, an electrical measurement shall be made to determine intermittent contacts or open- or short-circuiting. Detecting equipment shall be sufficiently sensitive to detect any inter
26、ruption of 0.5 ms or greater duration. e. Examination after test: Capacitors shall be visually examined for mechanical damage and leakage of electrolyte. 3.4.3 Terminal strength. Terminals shall meet the twist and lead pull test requirements of MIL-PRF-39018. 3.5 Marking. Marking shall be in accorda
27、nce with MIL-STD-1285, except the PIN shall be as specified (see 1.2) with the manufacturers name or CAGE code and date code. 3.6 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible p
28、rovided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 3.7 Certificate of compliance. A certificate of compliance shall be required from manufacturers requesting to be an approved source of supply. 3.8 Workman
29、ship. Capacitors shall be uniform in quality and free from any defects that will affect life, serviceability, or appearance. VERIFICATION 4.1 Sampling and inspection. Qualification inspe
37、ction is not required. 4.2 Conformance inspection. 4.2.1 Inspection of product for delivery. Inspection of product for delivery shall consist of the group A, group B, and group C inspections of MIL-PRF-39018. 4.2.2 Certification. The acquiring activity, at its discretion, may accept a certificate of
38、 compliance with group B and group C requirements in lieu of performing group B and group C tests (see 6.2b). 4.2.3 Inspection of packaging. Inspection of packaging shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-39018. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Packaging. For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as
39、 specified in the contract or order (see 6.2). When packaging of materiel is to be performed by DoD or in-house contractor personnel, these personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory Control
40、 Points packaging activity within the Military Service or Defense Agency, or within the military services system command. Packaging data retrieval is available from the managing Military Departments or Defense Agencys automated packaging files, CD-ROM products, or by contacting the responsible packa
