SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This deta
2、il specification covers safe-lane and mined-area marking signs and a mine marker. 1.2 Classification The signs and markers should be of the following classes as specified (see 6.2(b). Class D - Safe-lane sign Class E - Mine marker Class F - Mined area sign 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General. The do

12、3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.2(d), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection in accordance with 4.2. 3.2 Quality Conformance Items shall meet the requirements of section 4.3. 3.3 Packaging. Materials and components shall be as specified on the drawings referenced herein. When substitute components are proposed, the contractor shall submit to the responsible age
14、ncy a listing of all substitute components, samples of the components, and supporting data which proves the functional equivalence and design compatibility of the items. Approval of the submitted listing authorizes construction of the first article. 3.5 Construction. Construction shall conform in al
15、l respects to the drawings listed in section 2 and as specified herein. 4 VERIFICATION 4.1 Classification of inspections The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see 4.2) b. Quality Conformance inspection (ce 4.3) c. Inspection of packaging
16、 (see 4.4) 4.2 First article inspection When specified (see 6.2(e), a random sample shall be subject to first article inspection. The contractor shall furnish to the Government one or more safe-lane and mined-area marking signs and mine markers, as specified by the contract. Unless otherwise specifi
17、ed (see 6.2(e), all examination and test shall be conducted by the contractorand subjected to surveillance and approval by the Government. The signs and markers shall be examined for the characteristics in table I. Failure of first article signs and markers to meet examination criteria of table I sh
18、all be cause for rejection of the first article signs and markers. Any failure shall be cause for the Government to reject any production signs and markers until the contractor has provided acceptable evidence that the defects have been eliminated. Table I. Workmanship not as specified. 4.3 Quality conformance inspection Samples shall be examined for the defects listed in table I. Sampling for examination shall be in accordance with ANSUASQC Z1.4. L

The fully packaged end items
21、 shall be examined for compliance in accordance with section 5.1. Sampling shall be in accordance with ANSUASQC 21.4. The unit of product shall be a completed pack prepared for shipment. Thelot size will be specified by the contracting officer. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Packaging. For acquisition purposes, t
22、he packaging requirements shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2(g). When actual packaging of material is to be performed byDoD personnel, these personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain requisite packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are mai
23、ntained by the Inventory Control Points packaging activity within the Military Department or Defense Agency, or within the Military Departments System Command. Packaging data retrieval is available from the managing Military Departments or Defense Agencys automated packaging files, CD-ROM products,
24、or by contacting the responsible packaging activity. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The class D sign is intended for marking a safe lane through a mined area. The class E mine marker is intended for marking the location of a detected mine until removal is accomplished. The class F sign is intended for m
25、arking mined areas. 6.2 Acquisition requirements Acquisition documents must specify the following: a. Title, number, and date of this document b. Class of sign or marker required (see 1.2) c. Issue of DoDISS to be cited in the solicitation, and if required, the specific issue of d. First article, if
