2、efense. The requirements for acquiring the product described herein shall consist of this specification sheet and MIL-DTL-43719. REQUIREMENTS: Material. Material for the basic marker (figure 1) shall conform to type I, class 3, color white of ASTM D4956. Colors. Colors shall conform to the following
3、 (see table I of MIL-DTL-43719): Color name Red Light yellow Orange yellow Light blue Insignia blue Jet black Color number 11105 13655 13538 15102 15044 17038 Design. The design of the basic marker shall be as shown in figure 1. The size and dimensions of the basic marker shall be as shown in figure
4、 2. Specific hazard symbols and numerals. Specific hazard symbols and numerals shall be mounted on a translucent transfer sheet in accordance with 3.2.2 of MIL-DTL-43719. Specific hazard symbols. Specific hazard symbols are as follows: ACID, ALK, COR, OXY, W The heights of the letters shall be one-h
5、alf the height of the corresponding numerals for the specified size marker. The color of the letters shall be black. In all other respects, they shall conform to MIL-DTL-43719/3. Numerals. Numerals are as follows: 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 Numerals shall conform to MIL-DTL-43719/1. The color of the numerals

Adhesion shall conform to type I, class 2 of MIL-DTL-43719. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS: Reflectivity. Reflectivity shall be
7、 determined in accordance with ASTM D4956. PACKAGING Markers or marker sets shall be packaged as follows: Basic markers. Basic markers of one size only shall be furnished in unit packs of 100 each. Marker sets. Marker sets shall be furnished in unit packs containing 10 each of the appropriate size n
8、umerals, specific hazard symbols and basic markers. Intended use. Hazardous material symbol markers described herein are for use in connection with the National Fire Protection Association Standard (NFPA) 704M. Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the following in addition to the orde
9、ring data listed in the general specification: (a) Size of basic marker, numerals and specific hazard symbols required. (b) If black or white numerals are required. (c) If basic markers only are required. (d) If marker sets are required. Changes from previous issue. Marginal notations are not used i
