10、ned. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shail be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.3). * 3.2 Materials and commnents. Materials and components shail be as specified herein and in referenced documents. Materiais not definitely specified shall be of the qu
11、ality normally used by the manufacturer provided the complete item complies with ail provisions of this document. It is encouraged that recycled materials be used when practical as long as it meets the requirements of this document. The components in the quantity shown in Table I make up one complet

The end item shall conform to the qu
15、ality of product established by this specification. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Classification of inspection. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. b. Conformance inspection (see 4.3). First article inspection (see 4.2). 4.2 First article inspection. When a first article
16、 is required (see 3.1 and 6.2) it shall be examined for the defects specified in 4.4.2. Any nonconformance shall be cause for rejection of the first article. 4.3 Conformance insriection. Sampling for inspection shall be as specified in the contract or purchase order. 4.3.1 Component and material ins
17、tiection. Components and materials shall be inspected in accordance with all the requirements of referenced documents unless otherwise excluded, amended, modified or qualified in this specification or appIicable purchase document. 4.3.2 Resuonsibilitv for dimensional requirements. Unless otherwise s
18、pecified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for ensuring that all dimensions specified in the component specifications have been met. When dimensions cannot be examined on the end item, inspection shall be made at any point, or at ail points in the manufacturing process

The fully packaged end item (see 5.1) shall be unpacked, then erected in accordance with Drawing 5-
20、4-7473. The mapboards shall be complexed and hung fi-om the he utilizing the support straps. The light set shall be hung utilizing the light support straps and energized. The system shall be examined for the defects listed in Table II. The system shall then be repackaged and packed into the shipping
21、 container. The lot size shall be expressed in units of systems. The sample unit shall be one complete system. The sample size shall be as indicated below. The fully packaged end
23、 items shall be examined for marking, materials, workmanship and content defects. 5. PACKAGING * 5.1 Packahp. For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2). When actual packaging of materiel is to be performed by DoD personnel, these pe
24、rsonnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain requisite packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory Control Points packaging activity within the Military Department or Defense Agency, or within the Military Departments System Command. Pack
