Qualification: First Article Testing in accordance with MIL-DTL-5423. Watertightness: The boot (bushing seal) shall be assembled to the test enclosure using a solid bushin
7、g of dimensions equivalent to a bushing of an applicable switch (including the non-turn notch). The solid bushing and bushing seal shall be assembled per figure I. The test shall be conducted in accordance with the “Final” watertightness test of MIL-DTL-5423, except that the pressure shall be limite
8、d to 6 pounds-force per square inch gauge, external pressure only, and no operations are required. At the conclusion of this procedure, the test enclosure shall be examined in the bushing area for evidence of water leakage. The following tests are not required: Restoring force, durability, sand and
9、dust, vibration, salt spray, endurance and lubricant.
