SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification

2、 covers the requirements for womens side pocket slacks with straight and bell bottom legs. 1.2 Classification. 22、 . 2.2 Order of precedence. In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIRE

23、MENTS 3.1 Guide sample. Samples, when furnished, are solely for guidance and information to the contractor (see 6.3). Variations from this specification may appear in the sample, in which case this specification shall govern. 0 3.2 First article. When specified, the contractor shall furnish sample u

24、nit(s) for first article inspection and approval (see 4.3 and 6.2). 3.3.1 Basic material. 3.3.1.1 Class 1 slacks. The material for the pockets and left fly lining shall be a twill cloth conforming to class 1 of MIL-C-43718. The color shall be as follows: Class 1

26、and 2 - white Class 3 - dark grey or black Class 4 - unbleached, white, or natural 3.3.2.2 Slack liner. The material for the liner in the class 1 slacks shall be nylon tricot warp knit, shade white 3006, conforming to MIL-C-87059. 3.3.3 Fusible interlininq. The waistband shall be fused with a woven

27、or nonwoven thermal bonded fusible material consisting of 85-100% polyester with the remaining fiber being nylon. The material shall be free of chemical binders. The fusible adhesive system shall be a polyester paste dot uniformly distributed over one side of the material. The color shall be white f

The woven non-slip tape for the waistband shall be constructed of either polyester or polyester/nylon, natural or white in color, with two rows of chloroprene or nitrile rubber threads, woven or stitched to the tape. The width of the

34、 completed tape shall be 7/8 inch and shall not shrink more than 2% for dry cleaning or 3.5% for laundering when tested as specified in 4.4.1. There shall be a minimum of 3/16 inch from the rubber thread to edge of tape. 3.3.5 Thread polyester covered. Thread for seaming, stitching, and overedging s

35、hall be cotton-covered polyester core, ticket No. 50 and 70, 2 ply; and for button and buttonhole stitching ticket No. 30, 2 ply conforming to A-A-50199. The color of the thread shall be as follows, in accordance with the Standard Shades for Sewing Threads: Class 1 and 2 - White AH, CA# 66050 Class

36、3 - Black AA, CA# 66043 Class 4 - Khaki P-1, CA# 66019 The use of polyester-covered polyester core thread is not allowed. 3.3.5.1 Automatic pocket machine. When an automatic pocket machine using stitch type 101 is used, the thread shall be IC2, ticket No. A, 3 ply conforming to A-A-52094. When an au

37、tomatic pocket machine using a 301 stitch type is used, the thread shall be ticket No. 50, 2 or 3 ply conforming to A-A-50199. The Cable No. Shall be as stated in 3.3.5. 3.3.5.2 Colorfastness. The dyed threads shall show colorfastness to laundering and light equal to or better than the standard samp

38、le when tested as specified in A-A-50199 or A-A-52094. As a minimum level of acceptability, or when no standard sample is available, the thread shall show a minimum of “good“ colorfastness to laundering and light when tested as specified in A-A-50199 or A-A-52094. 3.3.6 Slide fasteners. 3.3.6.1 For

39、class 1 slacks only. The slide fastener shall conform to type I, style la (continuous chain) or 3 (pre- assembled), short tab pull, size LS, of V-F-106. The slide fastener shall be a continuous monofilament nylon or polyester coil. The component parts of the slide fastener shall approximate the colo

40、r of the basic material, of the color of the coil may be clear. The style la (continuous chain) requires the application of a slider and bottom stop during production of the slacks. The slide fastener for the class 2, 3 and 4 slacks shall conform to type I, style 1 or la (continuous) or 3 or 4 (preassembled), short tab pull, size LS, of V-F-106. All metal components of the slide fastener shall be brass, ex

42、cept for the cover and spring on a semi-automatic pin lock which shall be stainless steel. All component parts shall be from the same contractor (see 4.4.1). Style 1 and la require the application of a slider and bottom stop during production of the slack. 3.3.6.3 Color. The color of the slide faste

43、ner tape shall approximate the shade of the basic material 3.3.6.4 Colorfastness. The dyed slide fastener tape shall show colorfastness to laundering equal to or better than the standard sample when tested as specified in V-F-106. As a minimum level of acceptability, or when no standard sample is av

44、ailable, the tape shall show a minimum of “good“ colorfastness to laundering when tested as specified in V-F-106. . 3.3.7 Labels. 3.3.7.1 Combination label. Each pair of slacks shall have a combination identification, instruction, and personal label conforming to type VI, classes 10 and 14 of DDD-L-

45、20. The fastness to laundering requirements of DDD-L-20 shall apply.
