Thelubricant(s)forfrictionhoistropesshallcomplywithDIN21258,takingaccountof: a) thecoefficientoffrictionbetweentheropeandthedrivesheave;and b) thecompatibilityofthelubricantwiththerespectivesheavelinings. NOTE Thepurchasershouldspecifyanyparticularlubricantrequirements(seeintroduction

29、). 5.3 Ropemanufacture 5.3.1 Wirefinish Thefinishofthewiresshallbebright,zinccoatedclassDoracombinationofbothprovidedthatinanyonelayerthe finishisthesame.EN123857:2002(E) 6 5.3.2Lubrication Ropesshallbelubricatedateachclosingoperationexceptforfulllockedcoilfrictionhoistropes. NOTE Thepurchasershould

30、specifyanyparticularlubricationrequirements(seeIntroduction). 5.3.3Construction 5.3.3.1 Fulllockedcoilhoistrope Theropeshallconsistofoneouterlayeroffulllockwireslaidoveranunderlyinglayerofhalflockandroundwiresand astrandcentreofroundwires. NOTE1 Forthelargersizesofropetherecanbemorethanonelayerofhal

31、flockandroundwires. NOTE2 Forpracticalmanufacturingreasonstheactualnumberofwiresintheouterlayercanvarybutshouldnotdosoby morethanonewirefromthatspecifiedbythemanufacturer. 5.3.3.2 Halflockedcoilguiderope Theropeshallconsistofanouterlayerofalternatehalflockandroundwireslaidoveraninnerlayerorlayersofr

32、ound wires,alllaidoveracentrewire. Forropesizesuptoandincluding41mminropegradesuptoandincluding1080,theouterwiresize(i.e.theheightof theshapedwireandthediameteroftheroundwire)shallnotbelessthan17,5%ofthenominalropediameter. Forropesinexcessof41mmdiameterinropegradesabove1080,theminimumheightofthesha

33、pedwireshallbe 7,6mm. Thediameteroftheroundwireintheoutercovershallbewithin10%oftheheightoftheshapedwire. 5.3.3.3 Fulllockedcoilguideropes Theropeshallconsistofanouterlayeroffulllockwireslaidoveranunderlayinglayerofhalflockandroundwires andastrandcentreofroundwires. 5.4Diameter 5.4.1Tolerances Whenm

34、easuredinaccordancewith6.3.1ofEN123851:2002themeasureddiametershallbewithin 2% of the nominaldiameter. NOTE Specifiers,purchasersandusersshouldrecognizethatlockedcoilropesformineshaftsare,moreoftenthannot, speciallydesignedbytheropemanufacturertomeetparticularshaftconditionsandmachineryrequirementsa

35、ndparticular attentionshouldbegiventotheselectionofthecorrectsizeofropeandassociateddiametertolerance. 5.4.2 Differencebetweendiametermeasurements Thedifferencebetweenanytwoofthefourmeasurementstakeninaccordancewith6.3.1ofEN123851:2002shall notexceed4%ofthenominalropediameter.EN123857:2002(E) 7 5.5B

36、reaking force Onlytheminimumbreakingforceshallbespecifiedasthebreakingforce. Thespecifiedminimumvalueforagivenropesize,constructionandcombinationofwiretensilestrengthgradesshall bedeterminedbytheropemanufacturer. NOTE Typicalminimumvaluesofbreakingforceforfulllockedcoilhoistropes,halflockedandfulllo

37、ckedcoilguideropes withoneparticularcombinationofwiretensilestrengthgradesaregiveninannexB.Thecombinationforhoistropesisbased onanouterfulllockwireoftensilestrengthgrade1270,aninnerhalflockwireoftensilestrengthgrade1470andinnerrou nd wiresoftensilestrengthgrade1860andforguideropesisbasedonanouterhal

38、flockoftensilestrengthgrade780andround wiresoftensilestrengthgrade880.Dependingonthemanufacturersactualropedesign,higherorlowervaluesthanthose giveninannexBcanbespecified. Unlessstatedotherwisebythemanufacturer,thespinninglossfactorusedinthedeterminationofminimumbreaking forceshallbe0,835forfulllock

ThemanufacturershallcarryoutabreakingforcetestinaccordancewithMethod1asdescribedin6.4.1of EN123851:2002onasampleofropefromeachproductionlength. 5.6Length Theactuallengthofropeshallnotbelessthanthespecifiedlength,norshallitexceeditbymorethan2%. 5.7
