26、secoattothethermalinsulationmaterialaredeterminedby adirectloadperpendiculartothesurfaceoftheadhesiveorthebasecoat.Thetensileloadisappliedbymeansof arigidplategluedtothetestareaoftheadhesiveorbasecoat. 5Apparatus 5.1Glue Theglueshallbesuitableforroughsurfaces(rendersurface)andfortimber(e.g.solventfr

27、eeepoxyadhesiveor polyurethaneadhesive).Theglueshallnotdamagethethermalinsulationmaterial,thebasecoatortheadhesive andnotinfluencetheresults. 5.2Rigid plates Therigidplates(e.g.plywoodofthickness20mmorsteelplatesofthickness5mm)shallhavedimensionsof (200 2)mm (200 2)mm.Themechanicalstabilityortherigi

28、dplatesshallnotinfluencethetestresults.They shallhaveacentralfittingfortheconnectiontothetestingmachineprovidingaselfaligningattachmenttoavoid unevendistributionoftensilestressduringthetest.Onthesidetowhichtheglueistobeapplied,theplatesshall beflatwithatoleranceof+0,5mmper100mmlength. 5.3Saw Mechani

29、caldrivensaw(e.g.circularsaworbandsaw)withguidesforarectangularcut.Thesawshallbesuitable forsawingtestspecimensfromhardenedadhesiveorbasecoatwiththereinforcement. 5.4 Tensiletestingmachine Thetensiletestingmachine,appropriatefortherangeofforceanddisplacementinvolved,capableofhavinga constantcrosshea

30、dspeedadjustedto(10+1)mm/minandsuitablefortestingspecimenswiththedimensionsof 200mm 200mm.Itshallbecapableofmeasuringtheforcewithanerrorlimitofatleast1%(seeEN1607). 6 Testspecimens 6.1 Preparationofthesamples Theadhesive,orbasecoatwiththereinforcement,isappliedinaccordancewiththemanufacturersinstruc

31、tionson tothesurfaceofthermalinsulationmaterialhavingminimumdimensionsof500mm 1000mm 60mm.The samplesshallnotincludemechanicalfixings. 6.2 Conditioningofthesamples TheconditioningofthesamplesshallbecarriedoutasspecifiedintherelevantETICSproductstandard. NOTE IntheabsenceofaproductstandardforETICSora

32、nyotherEuropeantechnicalspecification,theconditioning proceduremaybeagreedbetweenparties. 6.3 Preparationandnumberoftestspecimens Cutthreesquareshapedtestspecimensofdimensions200mm 200mmoutofthesamples.Aminimumdistance of100mmtotheedgesofthesamplesshallbemaintained. Thethicknessoftheadhesiveoroftheb

33、asecoatshallbemeasuredvisuallyandroundedtothenearestmm. Applyathinlayerofgluetobothsurfacesofthetestspecimeninsuchawaythattheglueformsacompletelayer betweentherigidplatesandthetestspecimen.WithslightpressuregluetherigidplateontothetestspecimenEN13494:2002(E) 6 ensuringthatthecentreoftherigidplatesco

34、incideswiththecentresquareshapedtestspecimen.Takecarethat thegluedoesnotrundownthesidesofthetestspecimen.Allowthegluetohardeninaccordancewiththe manufacturersinstructions. 7Procedure 7.1Test conditions Thetestshallbecarriedoutat(23+5)C. 7.2 Attachmentofthetestspecimenstothetensiletestingmachine Atta
