15、edusewhilemaintainingtheirserviceabilityandtheirsafehandling. Theymaybeusedfor: Mechanicalhandlingbyforkliftandhandpallettrucks. Bulkstorageinstacksstoragewhere,forsafetyreasons,itisnotadvisabletostackboxpalletstoa heightexceedingseventimesthesmallerhorizontaldimensionoftheboxpallet. Transport: This
16、standardisperformancebased,i.e.nominimumvaluesarefixed.ItreflectsISO86111inthisrespect.Box palletsshouldbetestedinaccordancewiththeclaimedperformances.Thestandardevaluatesperformancesin relationtotheloadcapacityofaboxpalletcarryingauniformlydistributedloadusedastestloadandcalledthe nominalload.Howev
17、er,itisrecognisedthattheactualsafeworkingloadforaboxpalletcouldvarywiththetypeof loadcarriedandthat,foraspecifictypeofload,themaximumworkingloadmaybesmallerorlargerthanthe nominalloadofaboxpallet.Therefore,theallowablemaximumloadforagivendesignofboxpalletvaryaccording tothecharacteristicsofthetypeof

32、dshallbethosegiveninthemanufacturersspecificationsor thosemarkedontheproduct.Themanufacturermayalsostipulateavaluebeforethetest. 4.3.2Dynamic Load Dynamicloadshallbespecifiedbythemanufacturerinaccordancewithanytransportationlimitsonvehicles.For example,avalueof2000kg/miscommonlyobservedandthuslimits
33、thedynamiccapacityofboxpallets. 5Tests 5.1Samplingforthetests Thenumberofboxpalletsrequiredforthetestsisatleastoneforeachtest,exceptin5.4wheretwoareneeded. NOTE1 Itisrecommendedforrepeatabilityandqualityoftheteststousemorethanonesample. NOTE2 Thefullrangeoftestscanbedoneonthesamesampleiftheeffectsof
34、thetestsareclearlyidentified. Itisnecessarytoensurethattheboxpalletsubjectedtothetestsiscompleteand,whenappropriate,fittedwiththe accessoriesexpectedtobeused(covers,togglefastenersetc.)asifitwerereadyforuse. 5.2Ballast Theballastismadeupof: eithertheactualproducttobetransportedoraproducthavingthesam
35、ephysicalcharacteristics. Inthiscase,thetestcertificateisonlyvalidforsuchproduct; oroneofthefollowingdummyballasts: ballastn1:sand, ballastn2:plasticgranules, Unlessotherwisespecified,thetestload,consistingofreceptaclesfilledwithballastn1or2,shallbeuniformly spreadandshalloccupymorethan80%ofthecapac
36、ityoftheboxpallet. 5.3Climaticconditioning Noclimaticconditioningisrequiredasageneralruleforallmetalboxpallets.Forboxpalletsconsistingcompletely orpartiallyofothermaterials,itisnecessarytoapplytheconditioningspecificationsmentionedinTable1(in accordancewithENISO2233)beforetesting.Unlessotherwisespec
