24、eirelectricalresistance,theamountofenergyneededtoignitethe fuseheadsandtheresistanceoftheconnectedshotfiringcable,itisusuallynecessarytoapplyvoltagesofseveral hundredvolts,oftenexceeding1kV,tothecircuittoensurecorrectinitiation. Detonatorscanalsobesubjectedtotheapplicationofhighvoltagescausedbyelect

25、rostaticchargingofthefiring circuit. Todeterminetheabilityofdetonatorstowithstandtheseappliedhighvoltageswithoutmisfiringorinitiating prematurely,itisessentialtodeterminethevalueofappliedd.c.voltagewhichcausesflashoverbetweenthe detonatorleadingwiresandthedetonatorshell.EN1376321:2003(E) 6 1Scope Th

Shortcircuitbothleadingwiresofthedetona
