5、e A shall be placed over the outer electrical contact of the connector. This is a sizing operation and should be carried out when the insulator is removed from the connector. After this the gauge B shall be placed over the outer contact. The contact shall support the mass of the gauge in a vertical

6、downward position. 7、le centre contact I I Table 4 Test requirements (see 4.5.1 of CECC 22 000) Gauge C shall be inserted into the female centre contact for a minimum distance of 3,17 mm (0,125 in) once only. After this, the gauge D shall be inserted into the female centre contact. The ccntact shall support the mass of

8、the gauge suspended in a vertical downward attitude. Notes (for information only) 1. Gauge C is used for qualification approval tests only, see 4.5.1. The minimum diameter of gauge C corresponds to the maximum diameter of a male contact pin. 2. Oversize gauging is to be used only as an effective pro

9、cess control test during manufacture. 10、in. A steel standard mating part shall be constructed as shown in Fig. 10 and shall have a 0,4 wn (16 uin) maximum finish. Max. I Test requirements (see 4.5.4 of CECC 22 000) The insertion and withdrawal forces required for a general purpose male connector to engage with, or separate from, the stand

11、ard mating gauge shall not exceed 20 N. The torque required to engage or disengage the bayonet lock of the male connector shall not exceed 0,25 Nm. 32、ed in the DS but shall not be less than 500 V. the measured value of the extinction voltage shall not be less than the minimum value prescribed in the DS. Mechanical tests and measurements Gauge retention force (male and female resilient contacts) - conditions: see 2.2.1. Gauges for the outer contac

33、t of the plug and for the centre contact of the socket are specified in 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 respectively. - requirements: as 2.2.1 and 2.2.2. Contact captivation (without cable attached) - see 4.5.2 of CECC 22 000. Axial force - conditions: - requirements: applicable to all styles with captive contacts.

34、 An axial force of 15 N shall be applied to the centre contact and maintained for 60 s min. Unless otherwise prescribed in the DS, the direction of the axial force shall then be reversed and maintained for a further period of 60 s min. axial movement of the centre contact relative to the body shell

35、shall be 0,25 mm max. - 22 - CECC 22 120 Issue 2 Torque - conditions: - requirements: 4.5.3 Static load 4.5.4 Engagement and separation - conditions: - requirements: when specified in the DS, torque shall be applied to the centre contact using the method given in 4.5.2 of CECC 22 O00 unless otherwis

36、e prescribed in the DS. as in 4.5.2 of CECC 22 000. This test has been omitted from Issue 3 of CECC 22 O00 and from IEC 169-1. see 4.5.4 of CECC 22 GOO. For plugs the test shall be carried out in accordance with 2.2.3 using the gauge as in Fig. 10. Sockets shall be tested with general purpose plugs

37、to form mated sets. the maximum insertion and withdrawal forces shall not exceed 20 N. The torque to engage or disengage the bayonet lock shall be : 0,25 Nm max. 0,07 Nm min. 4.5.5 Mechanical tests on cable clamping device When prescribed, these tests shall be preceded by conditioning in accordance

38、with 4.6.7, Rapid Change of Temperature, but omitting the concluding tests. (i) Effectiveness of clamping device against cable pulling - conditions: see 4.5.5(1) of CECC 22 000. Unless otherwise prescribed in the DS the cable length shall be 100 mm to 150 mm. If a single connector only is attached t

39、o the cable, the force shall be applied at a distance of at least 50 mm from the cable outlet. The force shall be applied for a period of 60 s min. The DS shall prescribe the necessary characteristics of the appropriate cable, arid the value of the tensile force applicable to the cable specified. -

40、requirements: as 4.5.5(1) of CECC 22 000. - 23 - CECC 22 120 Issue 2 (2) Effectiveness of clamping device against cable torsion - conditions: see 4.5.5(2) of CECC 22 000. Unless otherwise prescribed in the DS the cable length shall be 100 mm to 150 mm, and the force applied at a distance of at least

41、 50 mm from the cable outlet of the connector, for a period of 60 s min. The DS shall prescribe the necessary characteristics of the appropriate cable, and the value of the torsional force applicable to the cable specified. - requirements: as 4.5.5(2) of CECC 22 000. 4.5.6 Tensile strength of coupli

42、ng mechanism - conditions: - reqairements : 4.5.7 Compatibility, mechanical - conditions: - requirements: 4.5.9 Bending moment - conditions: - requirements: see 4.5.6 of CECC 22 000. An axial tensile force of 445 N shall be applied between the body shells of a mated set of connectors and maintained

43、for a period of 60 s min. engagement and separation as in 4.5.4. see 4.5.7 of CECC 22 000. All dimensions shall be verified by direct measurement or, if available, by the use of special purpose compatibility gauges. as 2.1. see 4.5.9 of CECC 22 000.
