14、cribe in geneml terms the function, taslc or role of the equipment to be purchased, e.g. whether it is pari of a new power generating plant, a modcation to an misting power generating plant, or repacement equipment. Where ampriate, the specification should define the function and the known limitatio
15、ns, if any, in the equipment connected to Uzat which is being supplied so that the equipment may avoid imposing advme conditions or the supplier may suggest modi$ications to connected equipment which would ensure satisfactory operation. 4.4 Equipment to be purchased The specification may define the
16、equipment type or arrangement to be purchased. For example, the purchaser may spec - whether the deaerator is to be incorporated in the feedwater storage tank; - the type of spray system; - requirements for start-up/off-load heating system. The specification should define the type and capacity of other services for the operation of the equipment such as compressed air or auxiliary steam. 4.7 Other interfaces The speciftcation should define Uze inwaces with existing anciuary or new ancillary equi-t to
18、be supplied under separate contracts which intemct directly with the equipment, for example condensate pipes, feed pump suction pipes, steam and feedheater drains pipework, civil works or temporary systems. 19、imescale in which the project is to be camied out. Thzs may iml safety valves, drain valves, orifice plates, equipment within the deaerator system to accommodate steam, vents, condensate and feedwater entering the deaerator, start-up/off-load heating system, temperature maintaining system, pressure
20、maintaining system (pegging), level control system including emergency tip system, nitrogen preservation system, anti-vortex device on feedwater outlet nozzles, local instrumentation, thermal insulation; handling and maintenance systems, etc.; spray nozzles, gaskets, etc.; tramport, storage, erectio
21、n and cleaning; commissioning and performance tests; documentation: equipment details, operation and If the purchaser wishes to have a contract for control and instrumentation separate from the equipment supply contract, the specification muy require the supplier to provide infmtion on aU the necess

Provision may need to be made in the conCract f
25、or cooperation between purchaser and supplier for system(s) to be deve.ped or the specmation may define the technical information to be provided by the supplier and the programme for its delivery. Similar provision may be made for other sdes, etc The extent of supply may include training, technical
26、and layout studies, requirements for cooperation with, the purchaser and/or other suppliers and infmtwn on necessary intqfmes, i$ any. The specification should define the requirements with regard to weather protection, the suce finish (e.g. painting), themzal insulation, noise insulation or cuiding,

29、such that the function and peormance of the equipment and its major components may be demonstrated to meet the requirements of the purchaser. The specification should also define terminal points for existing or proposed services, support stwtures or civ work. These may, for example, include aruiMary
30、 senrices, control and instru-tation system, heating and ventilation systems, cramge, general access arrangements and fire fQhting systems. It may be necessary for design and analytical wo - obligations e.g. operational staff shift patterns; - restrictions e.g. pmcess waste disposal. 7.2 Manning lev
31、els The specification should define the power station manning levels where they may influence Ute equipment supply. 7.3 Normal operation The speclfication should define in broa temis the expected nod operatwn of the power station and of the equipment. This may be a period of continuous fdl load oper
32、ation to the expected availability of its associated boiierhbhe between planned unit shutdowns, followed by a period at full or part load for a reduced number of hours between planned shutdowns and then a period of intermittent operation with frequent short shutdowns. Normal operation is generally a
33、t load levels, temperatures, pressures and fluid velocities taken into account by the supplier for design and includes variations due to the normal power changes (transients) of the plant. 7.4 Operating hours The specbfication should - operation with one or more Lp heaters out of service; - overpres
34、sure of the deaerator; - excess flowrate or energy input in the deaerator; - opening of the boiler recirculation valves at full load. 7.7 Further operational requirements 7.7.1 Load changes The purchaser should indicate the number and rate of load changes envisaged for the system. 7.7.2 Definition o
35、f the operational modes Every operational mode is defined by - mass flow of fluids (at inlets and outlets); - temperature and enthalpy of fluids, - pressure in the deaerator; - water quality (chemical composition, O2 concenlmtion); - frequency and gradients of thermal cycles. 8 Life expectancy 8.1 D
36、esign life 8.1.1 General This should be a sptxific period which takes into account Ute anticipated operating regime and recommended maintenance and wild broadly equate to Uze stated operating hours (see 7.4). T specification should define the design life of components which may be subject to periodi
37、c repkmt. The supplier should defim limitations on equipment life, vany, and Uzese should be included in the tender maluution process. 8.1.2 Number of start-up and shutdown cgcles The specification should include an estimate of the number of cycles to which Uze equipment wid be sut$?43ed. With deaer
38、ators this will be a function of the number of turbineboiler starts (defined in 7.6) and may be derived by the purchaser from experience of operating power plants. 39、equest proposals for monitoring the remaining life of compomts which are suect to fatigue, wear, erosion ador corrosion. In sm cases sp these should include the steady state loads or cyclic loads imposed by external pipework on vessel branch connections; - loads due to ambient and local conditions (
40、snow, wind, earthquake, climate, etc.); - imposed conditions specific to the site which could require certain design particulars (e.g. impact resistance, resistance to a chemical atmosphere, explosion-proof protection, etc.). The design should take into account methods, procedures and practices impo
41、sed by the specification oniy in the sense that these methods and procedures may be considered as minimum requirements (i.e. mechanical calculation codes, criteria for combination of loads). 10.1.2 Erosion and corrosion Should erosion and/or corrosion problems be expected, the specification should s
42、pecify minimum extra thickness or the use of corrosion resistant materiah to be taken into account in the design. The design should take into account the water quality and the type of chemical treatment. O BSI 1998 Page 10 EN 4551o-1:1998 10.1.3 Fabrication procedures - Tolerances The specification
43、should state the dimensions and positions of nozzles and supports, attachment for ladders and platforms, and insulation supports. Required dimensional tolerances, in order to ensure easy connection with other components of the system, should also be stated. The purchaser may request that, after rece
44、ipt of the order, the supplier submit procedures and specifications for main construction operations such as: - cutting of plates; - forming of heads. 10.1.4 Specific design features The purchaser, based on experience of simiiar equipment, may forbid some types of conceptual andor detail design. In
45、doing so the specification should avoid unduly restricting competition. 10.1.6 Dimensional limitations if the equipment is to be installed in a limited space or access is limited, the specification should specify maximum dimensions of components and equipment. 10.1.6 Protection against ingress of wa
46、terhteam to turbines Where the system supply or system design contract is sepaicite from the deaerator equipment supply contract provision should be made in each contract for cooperation between the system designer and equipment supplier in developing a system to automatically protect the turbine ag
47、ainst the accidental reflux of water or steamhater through the bled steam lines and potentially damaging ingress into the turbine. 10.1.7 Maintenance features The specification should state requirements for man access provisions in the deaerating dome and storage tank. The tenderer may offer alterna
48、tive features, but these should be justified by additional information or references. 10.1.8 Measuring and sampling points The specification may define where measuring and sampling points for tests during the lifetime of ule equipment should be provided. The specification should indicate the type of
49、 performance tests (see clause 17) and routine tests to be carried out, but the supplier should use experkme of simur equipment supplied to ensure that adequate provision is made for testing in the design of ule equipment . 10.1.9 Legislation measurement points The specification should noWy define the legislation and codes of practice for which operating data are required and the provision for measurement ador sampling points to auOw these data to be obtained.
